[OOC] Sure, I'll add a little close up here. You can also choose the "open image in new tab" browser option and it will show the whole thing in much higher resolution than the thumbnail sometimes provides.

Ah yes, some of the token effects are not typical and I suppose it has been a little while since the last fight for my usual ones (the Troll fight I believe was the last)
A token colored red means the character is Hurt Badly (50% hp) or worse.
A black circle over a character's face means they are stone-cold dead.
The pink circle over an enemies face indicates they have been KOd by the Color Spray spell (see the end of my last post)
And the Blue ring over Jordek, Katten and Bullock indicate they currently benefit from the Bless spell.

Katten will hold back, using her now as much as possible, she does want to kill the orc leader. None of this surrendering.

Somewhere behind one of the rear columns a light flashes as apparently a torch is lit. Linar tries to strike at the unconscious enemy on the ground in the middle of melee, but in the chaos of battle his swing goes wide. Fin moves closer to the front and embues a trio of stones with magic. Even jordek, now able to see a little, moves to the middle of his party's cluster. Unfortunately his hurled dagger glances harmlessly off the Bugbear's armor.

The orcs on the front lines show no lack of fervor as they attack the Drow and High elf; a fierce hatred of both it would seem. Stretch your neck out, pretty elf. The apparent leader replies in common when Nocturno calls for surrender. If you no want fight, I help you. The fighter priest responds by slashing the orc across the chest, cutting deep into his armor and flesh beneath.

The bugbear in the second rank slashes at Nocturno with his polearm, but the staggering orc knocks the weapon from his hands. The bugbear catches the orc leader and whispers something to him as the orc regains his balance. Shouting in orcish the bugbear backs away, his weapon fumbled. Two more orcs surge forward with pike and halberd but Katten and Bull's arrows quickly take them down. A few shots sail towards the party but strike little more than stone.

Fires 2 more arrows into the rear guard of the orcs. Trying to find an opening to nail the leader.

Letting his sword do the talking Nocturno will attempt to finish off the leader.

Katten moves to the "North" notching two more arrows she takes aim at the ones cowering behind the rocks, waiting for the moment to arrive.

(She is shooting over the unconcious and dead ones, hoping they will give some form of cover, but sadly she misses)

Findalsip closes the gap between himself and Bull and hurls two stones at the prone monster straight ahead.

Fin moves up behind Bull and hurls a pair of stones at one of the unconscious orcs, damaging him badly. Linar cuts deeply into his opponent, nearly dropping the orc.

The source of the light behind the column becomes apparent as the previously injured bugbear emerges with a clay vessel with a small burning rag sticking out of the top! He moves quickly to the other Bugbear, handing him the vessel and speaking in their native tongue before moving away Northward and out of sight. The second Bugbear grins wickedly and takes aim, hurling the burning flask of oil at Katten! The fire-bomb glances off of Nocturno's arm in the midst of the melee and tumbles to the ground between the tightly grouped party! Thin sprays of flaming oil splatter onto Jordek, Katten, Bullock, Linar and Nocturno; burning each briefly before they can be extinguished! The bugbear moves North and out of sight to follow his fellow, calling in Orcish to the others, Controlled retreat!.

Arrows and weapons dance back and forth between the two groups. Nocturno cuts down the Orc leader, and even Jordek lands a glancing dagger. The orcish archers and Halberd wielder all take pot-shots from range at the party before rushing off Northward. The final orc, still staggering from Linar's blow, begins to withdraw cautiously. Bullock fires his bow, but the string snaps! Katten aims carefully and her glancing shot takes the orc in the side of the head; sending him into a motionless heap on the ground…
