Eloise waits for the men to decide, if she had her way shed just walk over. Checking out the bridge, does it now appear safe?

The bridge did appear safe all along...

Walking on carefully and watching out for any sign of the bridge moving again, Eloise makes it to the other end without trouble. The chest is more than enough to compensate for her slight frame. At the far end of the bridge, the keep has a heavy wooden door that opens to the outside (towards her). There is no handle to be seen, but at chest hight, the wood is a little worn and polished, like it would be by many hands grabbing it.

Christopher makes his way back up through the building to the second floor, frustrated and slightly embarrassed. "Now we know why there was a chest full of stones here," he says to Saul in passing. "Best we not all go across at once, lest we put more weight on the far end than the weight of the chest."

"So, girl, since I do not expect I can persuade you to remain here, shall we go see to that door?"

"Finally, you understand." Walking off with a swoosh of her hair Eloise walks to the door, actually walking slowly she tests her footing.

(I know you said that already, was waiting on Stik, who has now posted.)

"Interesting.." Reaching out a hand into the air she reaches out.

The wood is indeed polished by hands grabbing it, probably to pull the door open.

As Eloise stands there, a faint but unmistakable odor of human excrement reaches her nose.

"Unless the brewers are using this place for a latrine, I suspect someone is being kept in there."

Is Christopher at the door with Eloise? Where is everyone else?

As Christopher advances over the bridge, he can tell when he's in the middle between the pillar and the door, that the bridge begins moving again very slightly. Probably the weight of him in his armor plus Eloise is more than the weight of the chest. Of course, if Saul, Themla or Dale stand next to the chest, Christopher can pass safely.

"The bridge is rocking.." Eloise says with alarm. "Someone stand the other end!"

Dale moves to help and takes the other end if possible! "Got it!" He calls out to the group.

[OOC] That's what I figured. :)
This might turn out to be like one of those logic questions, like the one where you have to get three criminals across a river in a rowboat... [/OOC]

"It seems we have a problem, girl." Christopher says. "We need place more weight on the back end of the bridge. We can not use the others as ballast forever."

[OOC]Didn't we see some bags of grain somewhere? [/OOC]

[OOC:] Once Eloise and Christopher are inside, the others can follow. Ot Christopher could take the rear and let the two girls and one of the men do the scouting, he can be ballast and cross alone later. For additional safety, he could take off part of his armor.
And no, there were no bags of grain. It is harvest-time, so all old grain that's not yet eaten is stored close to the mills, and the new grain is not yet threshed. [/OOC]
