"Guess that means you are on first shift?" He will raise his voice so Unbar will hear him.

To Val.
"Let's go sure they are settled, and we get a watch ordered."

Is the ring familiar at all?

OOC - What roll would you like - if any - for Unbar to see if he knows anything about the ring?
-------------------------------------------------

After imparting any information he has on the ring, Unbar heads off to the inn to inform the lady of the new "guests" and then heads off to watch the newcomers

After discussing the ring with Unbar(Guidance) Vic remembers where he had seen the ring before.

He remembers form listening to his parents and reading their case files.

It belongs to the Zhentarim!
Quietly:
"Watch them well. They may not be an immediate threat, but they are always trying to find an advantage."

The trio have a brief discussion and then split up, Unbar trailing the guests and the others head off to look for a lantern.

***
Unbar crosses the village square.
Two of the visitors are tending to the group's horses by lantern light.
Sparks from just beyond the reach of the lantern reveals Zolkin's presence: he's lighting a pipe.
As Unbar moves closer to the smoker he spies the other four visitors. All have crossbows ot scimitars readied.
Two of them wait outside while two enter one of the farmhouses. It seems that they've done this kind or work before. They belatedly light a torch..

As Unbar starts to follow the four he passes through the dimmer lantern light.
Xolkin approaches and asks, "Some provisions would be appreciated. How about it?"

***
While Unbar followes the four serachers, Val and Vic reach the stores where they find a plain lantern and four flasks of lantern oil.

What next?

"I don't trust them."

Woody takes the lantern and the oil.

I think it time for bed and the watch set up.

Let's plan to have Val take the first watch with one of the female human. (two hour watch) 10 to midnight.
Midnight to 2 - Isaril and one of the human men.
2-4 Xolkin and one of his men
4-6 Vic and one of the females
6-8 - If we need more sleep -Unbar and Isaril

Val will have Vic propose this watch.

Vic will suggest Isaril will take a 4 hour part of the watch since he is an elf.

He is not keen on having the Zhentarum takign a watch on their own.

When asked, Isaril is comfortable with the proposal.
It takes a short while to sort out the roster but no one seems resistant.

Unbar follows the four around. No more goblins are flushed out.
The newscomers (not on watch) settle down in the 'tidied' stables.

======
Where will those on watch be placed?
Anything anyone wants to do before settling down for the night?

Vic will make a circuit through the Inn the stables, through the town centre, and up to the gate.

A couple times in his time on watch, suggesting this to his partner from the Zhentarum.

Vic's partner, "I'm Andy. What was your name again?" thinks it's a good idea but, "Do you think one of us should stay on watch here at the gate?"
