Still, even investigating out of power teleporter could tell a lot about Enoian devices. There might be texts or symbols on the portal. The structure itself and so on, material and other similarities to the cannon... And it is close... And we can get back to the mansion to retrieve our magical items

and besides (

) we might have overlooked in the mansion other diary globes that describe how to operate the cannon... (Yes... I know I'm greedy...)
I should have told Sierra that the moment she said they didn't look in all the rooms...

If you want to finish the chapter and not open again lose ends give us heads up. I can make Baeros babble for ages if no one will stop him, although if it will be clear to him that we are not returning to the island he will go to the back of the ship to fish and train his dogs.

Funny how everyone became very interested in going back to the island
after I mentioned there were magical items left unfound.
Sorry to burst your bubbles, but even if you managed to convince the captain to take you back, you won't find anything. The minute I told you about the items, they ceased to exist retroactively, thanks to my temporal DM powers. I make it a point to never reward metagaming.
BishGada wrote:(OOC: Is Jocelyn still there? I thought she said she leaves...)
Technically, she is nearby, I think. But Horizon has been ill lately, so she hasn't had much energy to post anything.

If you, spyguy and chese are done, we can end it now. You three are the only ones still posting. If there are other scenes you want to do, though, you can; there is still one page left before we hit 30.

I was hoping to go back for my winter blanket. No intention on stepping back in that mansion.
Let's see what I left behind.
(Cave) Studded leather armor [25 lbs], large belt pouch [1 lb], large belt pouch [1 lb], winter blanket [5 lbs], soap [2 lbs], iron ore [4.5 lbs], pickaxe [5 lbs], hemp rope (25') [10 lbs], fishing net [5 lbs], short sword [3 lbs]
Hmm. My best armor, my pick, my blanket, my soap, all these things.

Um, you might have missed the last paragraph in my last post there.

Sure, but you got 6k or more in gold, so those things are easily replaced.

Realized that there was another meaning behind that.
6k in gold? Since when...

The party acquired 47k GP in the vault. There are also gemstones that have yet to be appraised, so it's probably more than that. There are eight party members (Jocelyn, Ouragana, Val, Baeros, Granite, Gallath, Drav and Thaddeus), so divided 8 ways, it's around 6k.

When you said I was rich, I thought you were talking about a couple hundred gold each, but that... /THAT/ is ridiculous.

And there may be even more than that later on. Any idea how much booty there probably is in a pirate fleet?
Just try not to spend it all over the next three years.

Well you see, the plan is to go over to the East, learn how to make these weapons, then make them, come back, and still be sitting on a spooki amount of cash.
So um, have you heard of starmetal jaded?

Fever Iron - reddish, deals fire damage
Firebrass - gold-bronze metal with mithral stats
Green Starmetal - Mined from meteorites; Adamantine that deals 1d6 extra damage to outsiders.
Baatorian Steel - +1 to damage on slashing and piercing
Any of these exist in Octhania?

I have honestly never heard of any of those before.
The DMG does mention something called adamantite. It can be used to make armor and I think it's supposed to be the equivalent of mithril. It's dwarven and any armor made from it gets a +1 AC bonus, weighs 25% less and costs 500 times more.

Yeh. However, starmetal is like that except... Almost and infinite number of times rarer... It's a material that only can be achieved from a fallen meteor, and even then it takes a lot to make a sword. A little can make an alloy that does some randomly dangerous affect, but the material itself is actually priceless.
Priceless in the fact that the price would be something like, 10000000x base cost.

Wowzers.
You know, I did use to have a list of fictional materials for this world. I remember adamintite and mithril and orichalcum were on there and a few others, but I can't remember anymore. Nor can I seem to find it anywhere. Not sure if I wrote it down on a website, on a wordfile or on actual paper. Wish I could find it.

I found this stuff on the D&D wiki.
