"It's on the far side of Borca" He lies. Not wanting to try and explain a concept he is barely keeping up on.

Mayhew nods, but lets it go. Haha, yeah I think you're right... By the way, what do you need the tar for anyway? He asks, grimacing at his poor roll.

Pyros barely hides his smile at the low roll.
"I am trying out a new trick. I want to coat these stones, in the tar, and light 'em. That way I can throw fire at whatever needs fire thrown at it."

[_2d6]=(5+1)=6
A small smirk comes out at his middle of the road roll again.
"Now the real race starts, to get finished!"

Mayhew gathers up the dice and seems about to cast his lot when he pauses with a shocked look on his face. Wait, what?! You want it to start fires!? He says a little incredulously. Gripping the dice he looks around for a moment before settling his gaze on the Kender. You know I can't just let you take that if you say stuff like that... Surely you don't really mean that you are going to start a bunch of fires... right? He says, his concern obviously raised

"No, no not a bunch of fires. Just when I meet another one of those beastmen, or this undead thing."

Pyros is a cucumber, as in Cool as A.
===================================
"Yeah." He cocks an eyebrow.
"I've only been here a few weeks, and I've seen more of these things that I should have in a lifetime. Why is everyone so surprised?"
He sighs loudly.
"Are you gonna roll?"

Mayhew moves his arm as if to cast the dice but stops, his duty coming to the fore. You know I can't just let you go around setting fires... Tales like that are just used to scare ch... travelers and... such... He holds the dice firmly. I think our game is over... let's call it a draw. He says, hopefully

"They should be scared. We almost lost Cross to the Jackal ones"
Thinking he rolls his eyes for a brief second.
"I won't be setting random fires, only things that need to be lit." He will sound matter of factly.
"Don't get me started on the ziggurat with the giant skeletons inside, and the Goblyns in that basement where Cross nearly burned us all up."
He inhales.
"Then that fog that stole the sword, and the crazy witch lady in the giant skeleton that did this." He points to this leg.
"This seems to be helping though." He will brandish his new found bracelet.
"Now Jerry's Dad seems to have followed us through the mist and has been killing girls that look like her." He clears his throat.
"I think not letting me get that tar is less responsible than thinking I'm a child, and thinking I will start random fires!"

"Anyway! Let's finish the game. He will put the handcuffs on the table and slide them over to Mayhew."

The young man seems more and more confused as Pyros rattles on, a healthy skepticism growing on his face. His eyes go wide when the Kender casually includes the comment about Jerry's father. Wait, you know who the serial killer is?! He drops the dice as he reaches for a pad and pencil. Can you give me a description of him? And do you know where he is staying, or what area of town?! He seems to have forgotten all else

Oh boy. Can Pyros some how cheat his roll while the guard is distracted?
===================================
Pyros sees his opportunity. He grabs the dice, after doing the math, and rolls.

"I've been told he is Jerry's Father, some great Vampire that followed her through the mists."
He taps his finger on his chin.
"He seems to be hunting the poor girls that look somewhat like Jerry. The last victim was right outside our Inn last night!"

[Lol, figures. At least he was to shocked by what pyros said to notice ;) just do a normal roll]

A WHAT?! the young guardsman blurts out. A little color comes to his face at the outburst as he glances around, though nobody else is in the vicinity. What would... Mayhew pauses, thinking back on the other crratures Pyros has mentioned. It seems difficult in this momeny to tell if his skepticism is growing or fading

"Yeah. I mean I thought these were stuff of Legend. The beastmen were new to me. Some are like Jackals, some like wolves. That piss serving bartender did a real number on me. Thankfully Jerry got me right again."
