When Brax asks Kim for possible magical help, she gets a shake of the head. "I don't know, I prepared for a battle, not a cave exploration. I could get us only a very weak light that would fade quickly. Perhaps our new friend here has something better in store?" Kim turns to the priest.

"I was thinking of minor magic to dry some branches." Brax replies, looking at the cleric.

"I don't think it would be a good idea for me to come with you" Kim explains. "If the sea cats return, I hope to paralyse them with the spell I learnt from Sanbalet, the one that was used on us. I will keep watch from the rock. So all I could do for you is enchant a few pebbles so that they give off a little light for those of you that don't have any infravision."

"A little light is all I'll need...if it comes down to a fight, I can hold my own in the dark just fine. I think your plan to watch our backs is a good one, Kim"

"Indeed that would be perfect." Brax agrees, "Could you do a stone for Searos and Gunter?" with that the cleric moves fully in the water and turns to Shersea. "Where do I go in? And will you follow?"

(OOC: I'll NPC Coren since Noldoli has not posted for a week. If he's ill again, I wish him a speedy recovery.)
"Yes, I can provide you with light." The newcomer puts down his backpack next to the others, secures his weapons to his body, and picks up a piece of driftwood. He murmurs something holding his holy symbol. The tip of the piece of wood lights up. "This will not be extinguished by water, see" he says as he, too, jumps into the water, handing the divinely magical torch to Gunter. "I will cover your rear."
"Then I will be just in front of you" Shearsea smiles, comfortably dog-paddling beside the group.
(OOC 2: Where is Searos?)

(Brax goes first to the first opening, helps Gunter and Searos through, Shearsea next and Coren last.)
"I am good with that, Gunter follow me in a few moments." Taking a deep breath Brax darts under the surface of the water, kicking her legs hard. Using her Elvensight she checks to see the first cave opening.

Gunter counts to himself for a few moments then takes a deep breath and then follows Brax through the hole.

Searos wades into the water, clearly distrustful of it... so much of it... and for as far as he can see... "Gods thats cold... ooooh man... and you want me to dunk my head under this? I'll never be warm again. This is going to take at least two women to get the chill out of my bones. You hear me? At least 2! Maybe more!"
With that, he waits for gunter to go under, counts to whatever, and then does his best to follow.

Since none of you has the "swimming" proficiency, I would like a DEX and CON check from everyone.

Brax finds her way without trouble, pulling herself through the water by gripping the rocks and finds the first air pocket without trouble.
Gunter finds the handles in the rocks and pulls himself through as well. Towards the end, he accelerates because he notices he must have made a mistake breathing, he gets short of air and bumps into Brax as he shoots up to the surface, gaasping for air.
Searos immediately recalls why he dislikes water, he somehow seems not to be able to know what he's doing, groping around, he makes little progress, and his state is worsened as the light Gunter holds is quickly moving away. Just before he thinks he will lose consciousness, he feels a slender hand gripping hold of him, Shearsea pulls him through and up to the air.
"Quick, take him, the other one is in trouble, too" Shearsea says to Brax as she hands over Searos once his head is over the water, and dives again.
The cave you are in now is small enough to be lighted entirely by the magical torch. It has no ledges or beach, you have to either tread water or hold on to the rocks not to sink below the waterline. Nothing is visible except the wet rock and the water.
After about a minute of waiting, Shearsea appears again with Coren. Like the other two men, he gulps for air and coughs to get rid of the water in his airways.
"The second dive is a bit longer" Shearsea says after the coughing has subsided somewhat.

"This reminds me of my home." Brax comments with a far away look, her clothing soaked to her body, she seems not to notice as she turns to Shearsea.
"Could you dive with them this time, to keep them safe?" She looks at Gunter with some concern, touching Searos on the forehead she gives him a little mumbled prayer.
"Tell me when you are all ready." She says after a moments silence, "Are you ok Oren?"
