"I'll stay with you, Garroth," encourages Linar. "Like I said earlier, 'Got your back'!"

"Somebody has to keep watch," mutters Boyd, exiting the cave with a huge mental sigh of relief, and ascending the ramp to the clifftop, where he will stay on station, in case any goblins show up.

Katten leads all of the rescued slaves to the top of the cliff, followed by Boyd and Salem. Eariel, Tag, Hew, Dillosel and Indendien keep a vigilant watch, as do Boyd and Katten.

"Anyone good with tying knots?" queries Linar as he considers the best way to attach them to Garroth.

"Not I." Nocturno will quietly chuckle at his own pun.

The injured Halfling Arac looks back and seems to notice the rest of the party having trouble. You guys need a hand or something? He asks.

"we want to get him, up there," replies Linar pointing appropriately.

Arac makes his way back down to join the drow and minotaur near the ledge. Oh... He looks over the weakened bouvine and the ropes. Well, you've certainly got enough rope... He begins to tie a longer length of rope into a makeshift harness that will support the minotaur but not tighten around his body if it is pulled upon. He shows Garroth how to put it on. If we get the others to support him, they can keep him from falling if he slips. I guess I could stay here and help guide his feet so he doesn't slip. he finishes.

[Linar gets the sense that this Halfling is fairly adept at ropes and climbing (though he didn't see Arac scale the wall in the cave). Wis check Linar]

[wow, just barely. Hmm... i'll grant a +1 bonus because of the nature of the info]

As Linar watches the halfing work and begin to coach the minotaur's steps, he realizes that he and Arac seem to have something in common [+1 to check]; Arac also has been trained in roguish skills...

Linar says, "Nice work", very quietly, in Rogues' Cant.

The Halfling quirks an eyebrow up and grins at the Drow.

He lets the halfling finish without further interruption.

[The Halfling is finished. now they just need people to support the rope from the top of the cliff First, then Garroth can try to walk the ledge]
[When everyone is ready: Garroth make Dex check at -2 (instead of -4 because the Halfling is helping guide his steps)]
[If Garroth fails the Dex check, Anyone helping support the rope from the top should make a Str check. For his size it would probably be best if 3 or more people were helping]

Garroth focuses as hard as he can in placing his hooves just where the halfling instructs him. He wobbles here and there placing a hand on a friend for balance until his dizziness clears, but inexorably he makes the ascent without any major hiccups...

Dexterity Check (2 penalty - target =11) [1d20] = 3

When he reaches the top safely and reaches a safe location, he turns to acknowledge Arac..

"Arac... Thank you.. I have little of true value, but I give to you this well made Elven dagger, you can clean the goblin blood from it or leave it as a momento of the three goblins I killed with it. I also have some even brandy I would share with you when I am recovered.."
