Well, not everyone can be MacGyver. At least, not at level 2.

Correct, a hex is 5' x 5' on the map. Ogres take up two hexes, and the giant takes up four.

In that case the grease should work as planned, allowing humans and smaller creatures (the party) to get by the greased area if needed, while Large creatures (the enemies) can't get past it quickly without slipping.

When Gregeddin uses rally allies, does it give a +1 only on that round? or the next attack they make?

It lasts one round per level, so it will actually last three rounds.
But as for whether the initial round counts or not, I usually judge that based on initiative. If you perform near the beginning of the round, I usually count it. If you don't perform until near the end of the round, I usually don't count it.

That remark was hilarious.

Having a level 7 wizard in a level 2 party really takes the challenge out of everything.

It may have helped a little.

I was a little stunned when I looked at their experience stats. Our characters have a long road ahead.

Indeed. Also remember that Nuitari, the moon, is in high sanction. So Magnus was casting spells as if he were 8th level.
I, for one, wouldn't want to get on his bad side.

Remember that old hobgoblin the party met on their way to the mines?
Old Hobgoblin wrote:"Long have [the gods] been silent, but that is changing. The Dark Queen breaks the pact; meddles in the mortal world. Her companions join her. The Platinum Dragon now moves against her, getting involved with his own companions. There are others, like Zivilyn, who do not wish to get involved at all. But such is the way of things, I suppose."
Old Hobgoblin wrote:"Whether you believe or not is currently unimportant; you will see with your own eyes soon enough. In seven days, all of Haven will."
Old Hobgoblin wrote:"Everything will change."
Teehee.

Indeed you did,
but I am a little surprised Magnus had absolutely no reaction to the name Haahqae dropped.
Perhaps he's getting a bit used to the gnome's antics and dismissed it as highly unlikely.
Or maybe he skipped that class in mage-history school.

Magnus didn't react much to the news of an army approaching either, come to think of it.

Nice twist! I already forgot about my slip at the beginning of the journey.

Yeah, we're ramping up to the finale of the arc, and I've been preparing for this for over a year now. Hopefully it all pays off.
