As Arvin climbs down, Petal emerges from the tree itself, dragging Barlemus with her. He is unconscious, but bandaged up. "I pulled him in during the attack," she says in Elvish. "I have done all that I can for him."

"How long is he going to be out?" Tavi asks curiously. She was pretty sure that Barlemus probably wasn't going to be able to make the daring rescue of her sisters.

"I don't know," the dryad admits. "My poultices should help speed his recovery, but even if he wakes up soon, he won't be in any condition to fight."

"Looks like the goblins have all run off," Arvin says, looking around. The only goblins remaining in the area are the three dead (including the Chieftain).

Tavi takes a deep breath as she looks around. As she thinks, she begins searching the dead bodies. "So that means it is just Arvin and me to save my sisters and to stop the shaman," she says. "He is probably preparing everything as we speak."

Tavi finds a total of three gold pieces. Furthermore, the chieftain has three flasks of oil on him.

Arvin, meanwhile, repairs the bowstring on his long bow and manages to retrieve five of his armor piercing arrows, most of them sticking out of the Chieftain's corpse.

"It's only high noon, so we have twelve hours to prepare ourselves," the elf points out to her.

"It is only you and me now," Tavi says as she takes the three flasks of oil. "Do you think these will help us any?" she asks, showing the flasks to Arvin.

Arvin takes two of the flasks. "Considerably. You should hold on to one, though, for your lantern. You're going to need it tonight."

"Allow me to change your own poultices," Petal says. "You may as well rest and heal up while you wait for him to awaken."

Tavi lets out a small sigh as she sits down to rest. Whether they liked it or not, they were going to take on the shaman tonight. It was up to her and Arvin now. "I'll try to come up with some sort of plan of attack before we leave," she says. "Right now, I'm not sure what we should do."

The party rests for eight hours, night falling and the moon beginning to rise. It is then that Barlemus finally wakes up, groggy but lucid.

"Ugh, what happened?" he asks. "We survived?"

===============

11AM - 7PM
Barlemus is healed 1 HP.
Arvin is healed 1 HP.
Tavi is healed 1 HP.

Tavi is gathering her things together for tonight when she hears Barlemus. "I was starting to think you wouldn't ever wake up," she says with a small smile. "Yeah, we survived...barely. How are you feeling?"

"Like I've had the crap beat out of me. Ut," Barlemus says, grimacing when he sits up. "So it worked? You guys took out their chieftain?" he asks.

"Yeah, he's dead. We still have to deal with the shaman though, which means probably fighting our way into their lair," Tavi says. "And in your condition, I don't think you'll make it very far."

Barlemus shakes his head. "Not their lair," he says.

"What do you mean?" asks Arvin.

"The goblin said they were going to sacrifice your sisters under the full moon. Can't do that underground. Gotta be on the surface somewhere then," he reasons.

"It would have to be in the open too then," Tavi says. "Under the cover of trees, you wouldn't be able to see the full moon very well. Though, that could be anywhere."
