Having finished her meal, Ouragana now openly turns her seat around and listens in to the conversation of the three others. Has the search of her memory brought up anything useful? Has she heard about creatures like the ones the farmer described?

"The other farmers and me pooled all our money together," Chester explains. "It'll break us all, but if we keep losin' our livestock, we're bankrupt anyway. Long story short, we're willing to pay fifty gold pieces for each one ya kill. Gotta bring proof, though. Their heads or beaks or somethin'."

Ouragana has never been to this island before, and so knows little of the local fauna or flora.

Ouragana eats a meal and drinks a pint of fruit juice.

"That sounds reasonable." Arei glances around, the sorcerer looked volatile, the young girl with the Dolphin symbol seemed totally out of place.

Finally there was the huge grey skinned woman, she might be useful.

"Heads, that sounds somewhat grosse but we can do something, I am sure." She watches the Gnome, she'd crewed with worse, he didn't seem mad, just... A little.. She wasn't sure of the word. "Can we do this alone? Or..." She waves her arm around in an arc.

"Well, everyone seems to be crowding around that farmer," Jocelyn says to Noah. She can pretty much see everything that is going on just over Noah's head at this point. "I guess I could go over there and see what it is all about."

"Hmm, Chester," Dahn says after finishing the last of his drink,"Think you can produce a map of this place with any merchants and service providers? I think I may have a plan that could make the final assault go quite smoothly..."
Dahn looks into space and mumbles to himself "Hmmm, birdmen, bird-men, bird men, bird, men, bird...men...If they're half bird, would it be cannibalism...?I mean, I wouldn't think so...I'll have to examine their level of sentience..."

Noah gestures to Jocelyn, his mouth too full to speak, but his intent is clear: Does she intend to do so, or simply talk about doing so?

"A map of their territory?" Chester asks. He shakes his head. "Nah, I don't know the area that well myself. But it shouldn't be too hard to find 'em. They mark their territory with stone markers. Should be easy enough to follow."

"The town, I meant, Chester, the town. Needa know where I can get things, miscellaneous things. Ya know, ropes, nets, 'scopes, spikes, barbed wire, explosives, those sorta miscellaneous things."

"Oh, that," Chester says. "Yeah, I reckon I can point out some places to ya."

Dahn takes a deep contemplative look at the map"Hmm...mhm....Remind me, which of the two inns are we at again?"

"This...is the Paragon Inn," the farmer says.

Jocelyn rolls her eyes at Noah as she pushes herself up to approach the group talking to the farmer. "Is everything okay, here?" she asks.

"Well, aren't we drawing quite the crowd, perhaps another who is interested in adding assistance to this task?"

"....Perhaps if I knew what the task was," Jocelyn points out. "I don't have the super hearing of an elf."

Dahn replies with a grin,"Hey, now, keep your voice down, some elf might here that and be offended by it."
"Anyway, it's about these birdmen things that have been stealing the farmers' cattle, oh, I had a thought that was inconclusive, fo you think that these things, being part man, part bird, do you think it would be cannibalism if... Never mind."
"Like I said, bird men, taking cows asks this guy about it, he can fill you in." Dahn gestures to Chester.

Jocelyn stares at the gnome as he goes off on his little tangent about cannibalism before she finally just turns to Chester. "I could offer my help as an acolyte of Octhanus," she says. "I think that is what I'm supposed to say anyway," she adds as she takes a moment to look over her shoulder to the halfling she was with.
