(ooc: What I assumed.)

Assuming everyone gets out of the way, Magpie strides up to The Elven Prince, "You be mean, but me help you." Reaching for the chains she pops the lock with ease.

(OOC: Actually, Magpie has no lockpicks. But Tas has a spare set, so we can assume he loans it to her.)

"My thanks," Gilthanas says, rubbing his wrists when the chains come off. He then picks back up the short sword. "Not what I'm used to, but it'll do for the moment. What are we to do with them?" he asks, gesturing to the two captured kapaks, as well as the unconscious one.

(OOC: With that sort of roll she could have improvised!)

"You be nice." The Little Gully Dwarf warns, shaking her dagger at the him.

"He will Magpie. We will get your weapon soon, Brother, and I need a new Bow.." Laurana looks at the Kapaks. "We could take them with us, or kill them.." She shudders.

"I made a mistake, one that will haunt me now, he doesn't want me, I was a foolish Girl and now I live with that Mistake for the rest of my life.." She says moving close to her brother.

"They're a liability," Eben says in the elven tongue. His accent is atrocious and his diction is crude, but then most humans find it difficult to speak the language with any elegance. But he doesn't want the draconians to overhear what he is saying. "We can't leave them alive, they'll turn on us. I say we put them in a corner and then shoot them in the back. Then we move on."

(OOC: Note that the only people in the group who can speak and understand Qualinesti are Laurana, Gilthanas, Sturm, Goldmoon and Eben.)

Having handed the lockpicks over, Tas starts to search the room for items of interest as the chatter happens.

"Not in the back." Sturm replies in rough elven, "But I agree, they cannot be left." he limps forwards, coming to Gilthanas. "Your Highness."

Tasslehoff finds nothing of particular interest.

"You going to challenge them to a fair duel to the death?" Eben asks Sturm, still in Qualinesti. "Commendable, but not practical. This is a war, not a fair contest among honorable opponents. We need to kill them, from a safe distance, and then move on before anyone discovers they are dead."

Gilthanas nods to Sturm, but then notices Eben. "Eben? Is that you?"

"Oh, hey," he responds. "Fancy meeting you here. Didn't recognize you at first."

Gilthanas shakes his head. "No matter. I have to agree with Eben. Although they surrendered and have cooperated, they are monsters and cannot be allowed to live."

"Thank you riverwind." Laurana smiles darkly, speaking common. "What use are they to us now? Riverwind still has a bow." she glares at the creatures, they held her brother.

"Which door leads to the armory?" he levels brightblade at the most talkative.

The kapak's hands are now bound, so he sort of gestures toward the western door with his snout. "It's upstairs, like I said--in the western tower."

"Can we not just leave them tied up here and bar the doors? I hate cold-bloodedly kill an opponent that surrendered. Tied up, they will hopefully not be found before we are gone again" Goldmoon adds to the conversation, also in Qualinesti.

Oblivious to the secret talk of the elves, Tas looks at the dragon men and the floor with his own suggestion on the tip of his tongue. Then, he pokes his head back in the other room. "We could tie them to the chain." He says proudly. "That way, they are not likely to kill each other in order to get free. If they do the whole blowing up thing, they will dissolve the chain and smash the other ones! It would be an interesting way to die now that I think about it." He bends down to the dragon men and asks them with a smile on his face. "What do you think? Sizzle, sizzle, pop, and fwap! You get a large link on your head. It would not be boring. You might as well make it interesting if you try to escape."

"Tas's idea is." Sturm pauses, "Suitable in the circumstances." He continues, "If they die, it would be of the're own doing."
