Drav spends the rest of the day using his pickaxe to extract iron ore from the stone. He doesn't find anything but iron, sadly. Soon, night falls and he has acquired a good ten pounds worth of raw ore.

Walk back to the cave, start dealing with refining the ore.

Drav returns to his cave without incident. After cooking some of the excess fish for dinner and eating it, he spends the rest of the night processing the ore. By the time he's finished, it's late and he's quite exhausted. But at least it was a productive day.

Drav tries to get some rest. He sleeps well into the night, waking up early the next morning. He cooks the two remaining fish he has left for breakfast, then decides how to spend his day.

So, I guess I want to try and make a shuriken for fun.

(OOC): And to maybe be a ninja, I dunno yet.

(OOC: Haha, so you want to use a skill you don't have to forge a weapon you don't know how to use? :P

I did some research, and it turns out there are four kinds of shuriken. All four kinds are small type weapons, do piercing damage, have a speed modifier of 1, have a range of 2/4/6 and can be thrown at a rate of 2 per round.

Large Spike Shuriken (Weighs 0.2 lbs, does 1d4/1d3 damage)
Small Spike Shuriken (Weighs 0.1 lbs, does 1d3/1d3 damage)
Large Star Shuriken (Weighs 0.3 lbs, does 1d6/1d4 damage)
Small Star Shuriken (Weighs 0.2 lbs, does 1d4/1d4 damage)

From what I can tell, spike shuriken are more like darts than anything else. The traditional 'ninja stars' popular in pop culture would be the star shuriken, I believe.

Which kind does he want to try and forge?)

Try to make 4 small star shurikens and 2 large star.

Drav had been trained in forging things like nails, pots and pans and so forth. Forging weapons proves much more difficult than he would have guessed. He burns through 5 1/2 pounds of ore and 22 hours before he finally finishes making four small star shuriken and two large star shuriken. However, three of the small star shuriken are of poor quality and therefore are less effective and more brittle.

He has worked the entire day and night. In a couple of hours, it will be dawn again. He's exhausted, but at least he had some success.

(OOC): That moment when you realize: food

Swap the pick, ore. and grappling hook for my fishing net, and slowly head back to the beach, also look for anything edible along the way

Drav picks up his fishing net. He leaves behind his ore, his pick and his grappling hooks (although he remains in moderate encumbrance) then heads out to look for food. As an elf, he can see in the dark as well as he can in the light. Although the sun will rise soon, so it won't matter anyway.

On the way to the beach, he spots a berry bush full of bright, ripe berries. He's eaten then before in the past and knows they are safe to eat. It should be enough for a meal, at least.

Drav makes a Survival check (1d20): 1, pass.

Drav picks some berries and then continues to the beach. The sun comes up just as he arrives.

(OOC: No, criticals only apply to attack rolls, nothing else. As for the date and time, keep in mind I never stated what day Drav's adventure began. It could have been several days before the Bullring arrived.)

Fish for about 4 hours, or stop if I get more than 12 fish
