Re: Act 2 Scene 1: “Legend of The Crown” (Game Thread)
Adran puts his hand up to calm his eager outlander friends down for a moment and says, "I don't mind allowing everyone present - and Akriel - to look at the scroll and book, for they go together hand in hand, especially if it could get us back home, but this needs to be done in private. You never know who could be watching - Aglos could have agents waiting to pounce anywhere we go...."
Re: Act 2 Scene 1: “Legend of The Crown” (Game Thread)
"Indeed," Mira agrees.
" Kid never learned to clear a room. Doors and corners, I told him. Doors and corners."

AgentspoincingWHERE?: Pyros jumps up to stanf on his seat to look around the room.
"Yes they seem to shun magic here..."

Re: Act 2 Scene 1: “Legend of The Crown” (Game Thread)
After he jumped out of his seat, Adran says, "Pyros, my friend, please calm down. We need not bring any more attention to ourselves than we already have. I've gotten the feeling that the people here see us as being out of place and watch our every move."
Re: Act 2 Scene 1: “Legend of The Crown” (Game Thread)
"Pyros, I've got an Idea. Why don't you keep an eye out? Only you have to be discreet.. If Someone watching us sees you then it gets bad. So if you look for them you have to sit still and quiet." She smiles widely, "Plus your eyes are way better than mine. Remember we are also looking for that nice Girl Arkiel."
"So, we find her, find this information and decide if we think it's a good idea." She states flatly, unsure what else to say.

Pyros starts to suspiciously eye everyone in the room. Even his group mates. Looking for anyone that seems extra interested in their group. Also watching for Akriel.
After 5 minutes(if nothing happens) he will sigh a very loud sigh. "This is pretty darn dull."
Testing his mental link more: "Can you see anyone that may mean us harm?"

Re: Act 2 Scene 1: “Legend of The Crown” (Game Thread)
Seeing that Pyros was alarmed by what he said, Adran assures him, "trust me Pyros, Algos and his agents may be a thorn in our side - but they aren't anything we can't handle."
Re: Act 2 Scene 1: “Legend of The Crown” (Game Thread)
Leaning softly into Merrick, Jerry muses on the interplay with and around Pyros.
On hearing Adran's words, she wonders who Algos, and his agents, are.
======
Talking of which, does Jerry know who Algos, and his agents, are?

Re: Act 2 Scene 1: “Legend of The Crown” (Game Thread)
The beverages are all brought and as no more items are ordered the bill is settled. Lyla mentions that Sabrina spoke to her and there will be no seating fee for them this time since nobody seems to be waiting and they haven't stayed long yet. Mira catches a wave from Sabrina in the back as she ducks into the kitchen presumably to help there.
Mean us harm? Cross' new familiar sends him mentally. All may mean us harm... too many here, too many to watch. I will try but we must leave this place. Not safe... not safe to be near so many...
Merrick and Mira have the thought at the same time, though it is the half-elf who speaks first. Tannis? Rautant's friend was named Tannis, he says to the others. He is the one who left the journal with him... Turning back to Adran, he continues, There is a man in Harmonia named Rautant Dubuisson. He manages a shop named the Toad's Toe. Apparently he and Tannis became friends after the latter was trapped in this place. I have browsed the journal, he had difficulty dealing with the fact that planar travel is really only considered theoretical here. He made many interesting theories about this place. Eventually he disappeared, leaving the journal behind. Rautant still holds out hope that he made it home, but... well I'm not aware of anyone ever leaving...
Just as Merrick finishes, an old man stumbles towards the table on weak legs. he rests on hand on the edge as he coughs fitfully into his other closed fist, away from the table and patrons so as not to disturb him. His garb is quite common, and the stench of his breath is prodigious to say the least. Elsa grimaces, even as she pats him on the back to help settle his cough. Front... kah! Fr.. Kah-Kah! Front desk... he hacks out the words quietly in Elven as he stumbles away from the group towards the hall that leads to the front desk. Esla watches the man with concern as he goes, then looks back to the table. A small leather-wrapped scrip lies where the old man laid his hand briefly...
[As far as Aglos is concerned, we can presume that Adran shared part of his story with the group. Aglos murdered Adran's mentor and stole a special scroll as he fled. Adran hunted him for Fifty Years, before finally managing to retrieve the scroll as they were all transported into Ravenloft. Since then Adran learned several volumes are needed to decipher it.]

Pyros jumps up and sprints to the front desk.
Cross stands and looks around.
"What was that?!" he will give a suspicious look around the room.

Re: Act 2 Scene 1: “Legend of The Crown” (Game Thread)
Adran looks around at the patrons who must now be watching with interest - he says to the rest of the group in a hushed voice, "perhaps now would be a good time to visit the front desk....." However, Adran pauses as he spots the scrip and reaches for it...."what have we here?"
Re: Act 2 Scene 1: “Legend of The Crown” (Game Thread)
Mira watches the whole thing with interest before slipping away to keep an 'eye' on Pyros, coming up behind the Kender she smiles sweetly, unsure of what she will find.

Re: Act 2 Scene 1: “Legend of The Crown” (Game Thread)
"Checking the front desk," Jerry says quietly to Merrick and stands with a smile, edging her way out.
Re: Act 2 Scene 1: “Legend of The Crown” (Game Thread)
Seeing that some are headed to the front desk, Adran pockets the scrip momentarily and follows....
Re: Act 2 Scene 1: “Legend of The Crown” (Game Thread)
Thinking that the discretion presumably required here dictates that only one person goes Jerry sits back down, at least until it's clear that is the destination.
