Karl draws his sword and remains alert, Mira's song was somehow comforting as he walks near her and ensures Elsa is Close by.

After dodging the guards, and seeing that the group is headed to where their goal was. He sticks to the outside of the party.

Remaining behind, or to a side if there is space. He might have been one of the shadows they saw.

The guard shrugs at Jerry's question, having to speak loudly to be heard over the roar of the falls. The Toll House is for travelers and newcomers to town. While it can be nice in the Spring and Fall, a narrow, crop crowded road isn't really the path most people want to take. But if they do, it leads right to the finest inn in town. I suppose you could say the Inn benefits from that.

Mira begins to sing, just at the edge of hearing over the constant cascade nearby. The group is visible on-guard, and even the guardsmen keep their gaze scanning the bushes and shrubs. Pyros stalks the group from the bushes, utterly silent beneath the cacophony of crashing waterfalls.

The second guard looks to Mira and Jerry, Well?

Mira gives Jerry a look, this was her decision, one she would support forever. But Jerry needed to tell them where now.

Kybalion follows along with the group. His polearm carried resting on his shoulder not far from the ready. He takes everything in trying to figure this place out. The women holding hands reminded him of home with the girls running around and laughing and enjoying the days when warm and chores were done. The little guy hanging back and generally dodging the group seemed odd to him. He has much to learn about this place and why things seemed to be on edge all the time. Could the town guard not keep things under control? Poor leaders? Evil wizards? That must be it he thought. A damned evil wizard has this place under a spell. What’s that word they use to fool people? The questions dance across his visage as he ponders quietly while still remaining alert on the journey to whatever place this group is headed.

Jerry asks, "Can anyone here communicate with plants? Or perhaps local animals?"

Pyros will circle around the group to one of the shanties propped up on the tree.

Kybalion looks at Jerry like he has lost his mind. “Talk with plants? Are you touched in the head or suffer a head blow recently?”

Elsa shakes her head, It is a thing some nature clerics can do, but sadly I have no access to such things. The Halfling admits.

Merrick shakes his head as well, I have never learned of an Arcane spell that can duplicate such effects. I suppose we could search the shacks, but that will take a while. This area is pretty large...

====
Time is 8 AM, March 13th.
It is unseasonably cold and Spring is late in coming.

Sunup was around 7AM, sundown will be around 6:45 PM

It will take probably 3+ hours to find and search all the shacks if the party sticks together

"We search the shacks, but those who can check for tracks should do so around each of them before we trample them out of existence," replies Jerry. "It may have made an exit on foot. Worth checking! I know the favoured type of boot. Size, too.."

Mira gives Jerry a look, before her hand points to the waterfall.

"star and sigil, ward and will,
By light no grave-born shade can still,
We mark the path where cold mists fall,
And seek the hush behind the wall.

By helm and hymn, by salt and flame,
By father’s blood and hunter’s name,
Where water veils the stone in white,
There festers thirst that shuns the light.

By flowing veil and cavern’s breath,
By hidden crypt and second death,
Where torrent masks the coffin’s lair,
We hunt the darkness nesting there.

By oath once sworn in forest deep,
By bones denied their rightful sleep,
We follow spray and silver thread—
For where falls thunder, waits the dead."

She walks slowly, her attention drawn to the Waterfall like it has been each time she had come here .

(Mira has heard lots of stories about things being hidden in waterfalls and while she can't remember anything specific it's still a thought she had when Jerry mentioned the shacks)

Language: [1d100]=81 total failure.

"I will follow once you have checked the tracks." Karl awaits the trackers, "In my world I led many house to house searches. This is similar." He explains to Elsa as he waits.

If Pyros hears them, he will start looking for tracks.
