Before all the spiders start swarming, Searos' lip curls at Vee's actions.

To no one in particular he mutters "Gods, now she's petting dead rats. First we pick up magelings, then a dead-rat-petting child, then a roaming gnome, albeit one with a hilarious name... whats next?"

As the spiders attack he simply throws his hands up in frustration. "Of course. That would be next."

"Oh, how disgusting," Echo says as she watches Vee pet the dead rat. Glancing over her shoulder to Searos, Echo says, "I'm pretty sure he was a halfling, not a gnome. The big hairy feet were a give away." She was still maintaining that she was surrounded by morons.

Kim closes the door of the room inspected, then turns to see what the others were doing, arms folded.

Brax shakes her head, watching Vee, "Well it appears we know what killed the Rats. There could be many more of those spiders." Stepping into the room cautiously she takes Vee by the arm, "You would do well not to tarry here my dear, let us leave the Spiders alone." She says that to both Amon and Gunter, noting Amons wound she smiles, letting Pelors healing wash over him.

(Amon is healed his 1point of damage)

"They are small, but territorial, I suspect if they see you leave, they will stop attacking you."

Gunter poison save: 1d20+2=21 Pass.

(Just because they are small, doesn't mean they can't bite (did say they were 3-4 inches, thats about Tarantula sized).

Gunter leaps away from the spiders, his foot stinging.

"Damn! The little monsters can bite! Alright, time to move on..." he regards the rest of the group while rubbing his leg, "I'm beginning to lose hope in this little funhouse."

Brax leans over Gunter, allowing her magic to heal him softly, pausing she picks up a spider, regarding curiously. "Well this little fellow would leave you frozen for quite some time.." Squashing it against a wall she exists the room, Vee in tow.

"Agreed, this place is..." She rubs her head. "Curious.. What was in the other room Kim? More of the same?"

(Clerics Cantrips, can heal 1hp damage)

(OOC: Ok, I am away for the next few days, check my post in the Tavern, catch you all on Sunday)

(Can everybody post their actions please? Oh, I am going by the module, mixing it up every now and then, but definitely going by the module. The spiders were supposed to be far deadlier!!)

Kim shrugs. "An empty room, a moderately unsafe floor, but no pests or treasure as far as I could see.

Let's open the door to the next room, but remember not to enter, we saw from below that the floor isn't safe"

Gunter nods his thanks to the cleric, "I'm glad that wasn't as bad as it could have been then, I'll take a little bit of pain if it means I can still move my legs."

He walks carefully down the hall to the last room and opens the door, peering in but still staying in the hallway.

The door does not open. It appears to be locked..

Wiggling the handle a couple of times, Gunter looks back down the hallway and calls to his companions.

"I don't suppose any of you have any experience picking locks?"

As he says this, his gaze settles on Searos.

Searos looks around and notices Gunter looking at him.

"Oh sure, just because I happen to acquire other people's misplaced property for my own purposes, you instantly I assume I can pick a lock. Well I can't alright."

Searos crosses his arms in front of his chest and stands there for a couple moments.

"Although, I did once watch a guy do it. Didn't look that hard. I'm sure I could give it a whirl."

Searos reaches behind him taking out a well worn leather case and approaches the lock, selecting a few pieces of wire as he does so.

(ooc: check traps and if its clean, pick the lock!)

"spiders killing rats? I never ever heard about south things. Have all your animals here south strange habits?" she asks no one special, but she dont seem to want a answer.

Vee shakes her head and follows Gunter and Searos.

Searos finds no traps, and is able to open the door rather easily, the lock is very new, probably only a few weeks old..

As the door opens he swears he hears a sound like a bell, but it is gone almost instantly.

Inside is another abandoned bedroom, the old four poster bed that sits in the middle of the room is tattered and frayed, the curtains are rotten.

The floor looks rather unsafe, with a number of Broken floorboards, yet a clear path might be found to the open window. Searos notes a small hodded lantern resting on the cill.
