"Searos." Brax says calmly, "The torch went out, stay calm. These items belong to Shearsea, she can use them to aid us." Keeping her voice level she adds. "We need to get out of here."

In their haste, Brax and Searos have touched the filth the hag used to cover her treasure with, they must save vs. poison.
Shearsea looks at Brax and says, a little confused: "With these things, I can bring you all out safely, why doesn't he give him to me?"

"Searos, if you expect to actually make it out of here alive so you can spend these riches, you should probably give her things back so she can help us. Trust me, if we stay in this line of work I'm sure there's a lot more where that came from...that we don't have to drown ourselbes to get."

Save vs. Poison: Success! 18 vs. 13.

Searos eyes his party members suspiciously, or at least he eyes the direction of the voices since he can't see anything. Holding onto the baubles, he grudgingly holds them out in the direction that it sounded like Brax's voice had come from. "You know I don't speak whatever language she is speaking right? I can't understand her." Searos is almost petulent right now looking around in the utter darkness. "if these are the price of our survival then I hope there's something good in that chest to pay for this little trip..."
He suddenly has an idea. "Hey, do you think we can bring one or more of those critters we killed? I'll bet the pelts would fetch a fine price and we could probably make some nice gloves out of them."

Save: (10)
1d20=15 Success.
"Of course, I forget sometimes, and have patience, I am sure there is enough here to make it worth your while, plus we are returning a Princess." Brax gives a little giggle, passing the items to Shearsea. "Here."
"As for the little ones, what do you think Gunter? Is it viable?" She asks, her elven sight fixing on the dead sea cat floating in the water.

"I daresay I've never worn a seacat pelt or seen anybody with one, which probably means they're rare and maybe even expensive. I feel bad for treating them the way we did but we still might be able to put them to use if we can save the pelts."

"Then we keep the pelts of the ones we killed, only those." Lowering her head in shame, she hated the idea of killing them, perhaps she was overzealous herself.

Shearsea, who can perfectly see in the dark, approaches Searos, drawing Brax with her.
"Tell him not to fear" she asks the half-drow. "I have a tiara, a belt and a bracelet here. When I put it on him, he will be able to breathe underwater like he can on land. I will guide him out then and take back the gifts for the next person."
(OOC: In case you wonder what would have happened had you failed the poison save: you would have developed an itchy skin rash that lasted for a week.)

"See? This is how things work! You kill things, you skin 'em, you make you some gold, ya feel me?"
Searos starts groping around for one of the dead sea cats. He turns around at the sound of someone approaching. "Whats going on?"
(OOC: its probably a good thing I passed then because I would have complained endlessly.)

"Relax Searos, Shearsea is going to help you get out of here, while she is doing that I will collect the poor creatures." Brax says calmly, "She will aid you and come back for the rest of us, stay calm." Her hand goes to touch the Thief on the shoulder and pats him softly.
"Gunter stay by me please? We will help Coren first."

Searos flinches at the sudden touch out of nowhere on his shoulder. "Well, why don't you just hand me one of the beasties and I'll take it out with me while the water chick helps me out? Also... I need to get vision like you. I imagine it would make many of my activities much easier to perform."

"Just concentrate on the task at hand Master Searos." Brax giggles lightly, "Get out of here safe, and we can deal with the pelts." Taking his hand she giggles again.

Searos eyes the general direction of Brax's voice suspiciously and then just nods. "Alright, fine. Just make sure to bring along our little investments back there. If nothing else, I'll bet the inn wouldn't mind a stuffed one to hang over the fireplace."
He then blindly reaches a hand out for Shersea. "Alright, tell the mermaid or whatever in the hells she is that I'm ready to do whatever it is we're going to do."

Shearsea's soft cool hands touch Searos's and squezze them slightly, trying to reassure him. She then places something on his head, pressing down firmly. A bracelet is tyed around his left wrist, and a belt tied around his waist. Shearsea then takes his hand and says in Common: "Come". She leads him into the water, walking slowly on the ground, and when it gets deep enough for them to get submerged, Searos discovers he can indeed breathe freely underwater. Shearsea leads on, at one point, she stops and insistently pulls downward his hand downwards. (reaction please?)
Only the one baby sea cat that Brax took to the shore can be easily found, the other two sank below the dark waters.

Lifting the single creature in her arms, she pushes back a little tear, before passing the body to Gunter. "Take this, please? I will aid Coren into the water once more."
Moving through the water slowly she reaches up her arms to the fellow cleric, "Are you able to enter the water?" She asks.
