Turning back to the hole, Bryce does give way to caution and pokes around and down in the hole with the pole before gently lowering a hand into it and waving it around. If nothing untoward happens he gingerly lowers himself into the hole.
"Just a quick look."

Galan was already turning back to the Chapple they have left behind but hearing Bryce he looks back to the hole surprised but the change of plans. 'Hmm... Maybe this is something of the dwarves culture...' He thinks to himself, but loud he turn to Van pulls his shoulders and says, "Well, we are already here..." and he plays a short tune to keep Bryce's moral high, singing of a lover that was sneaking to his beloved house via the sewers and lost her due to his smell.

Jordek pokes down into the tunnel with his trusty pole, then his hand and finally his head. The way seems clear and continues on 20 feet to the south before ending abruptly and 20 feet East before turning North.

Bryce is in the hole and relays the info about the tunnel Tristen had posted
(Sorry about being brief - at work at the moment.)
He will continue moving down the tunnel, checking for traps and then moving forward, repeating this process as he goes.

Creeping eastward down the tunnel, eyes scanning every nook and cranny, Bryce makes his way to where the passage turns. Cautiously he pokes his head around the corner to find that it continues at least another 50 feet and turns east again... Continuing down in painstaking fashion, he peers once again around the new corner to find a dead end some 20 more.

So from the hole:
path south 20 ft, dead end (dead end not yet investigated)
Path east 20 ft, north 50 ft, east 20 ft, dead end (dead end not yet investigated)

no traps were found in the initial investigation, dead ends have not yet been investigated

He will continue down the way he going continuing the painstaking searching until he gets to the dead end and then searches the dead end for traps as well. If satisfied with no traps he then proceeds to check if the dead end is true or false.

"What do you see down there brother?" says Zafron.

Van will go find a loose stone, and toss it into the portal that swallowed the broken spear.

Presuming Bryce hears his brother, he calls back "A tunnel. Two dead ends. No traps so far. Checking the ends now."
