Artanis nods, "Confuse, ensnare and eliminate. Sounds like a good plan to me. When do you want us to go to the roof?"
To Pyros he replies: "Some of the bigger ones protect themselves from certain weapons - for them we need silvered or special weapons" He then shows Pyros one of those silvered bullets that Pyros has in his pouch and simply says: "Save these for those really big ones." He gives Pyros a slap on the back, letting Pyros know that he has the utmost confidence in him.

"Oooooh. That is why we had them made!" He will take inventory of his silver stones, and make sure he knows where they are. He also finds the red rock he bought from Rautaunt, and keeps it in his hand to rub it.

"If there are any spare ones of those, slinging is one of my weapons," offers Jerry, still unsure how this is all supposed to work.

My only concern is that we'll have to be able to see where our illusions are. We cannot see the barn from inside unless we open the side door... which I think might be foolhardy. Perhaps we could create the illusions in the front yard. That way the trees there could serve as the anchor for the web...
Ontash listens and adds his own experience. I don't know... they don't always come at the same hour... You may be waiting a while... we can offer some blankets against the cold of the rooftop...

"Of course, sorry I am thinking aloud, planning battles isn't my usual thing." Hiding her blush she agrees with Merrick.
"So there is no real planning to their attacks? That stands in our favour, excellent." Finishing her meal she checks her weapons (what crossbow does Ontash have? Is it a light one?)

We... we were only attacked when we ventured outside... they seemed to only roam the grounds, distressing the horses and... Ontash's features knot up in pain for a moment. Maria hugs him, tears in her eyes. She directs the children to gather the dishes once the guests are finished, and she joins them. Joshua... he couldn't stand it any more, the constant hounding... he only waned to protect us... Je took my crossbow and ran out into the night when we were all asleep... the... the scream woke us... we found... pieces... The farmer clearly cannot continue speaking, shaking his head and scrubbing at his eyes.

"I cant imagine that feeling, we were assaulted by similar creatures and they nearly killed at least one of us. But the loss.." touching the pair on the chin she lifts their heads to face her, voice breaking she sings softly.
"Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die."
With that she rises from the seat, her voice broken. "Do.. you should all stay in the Attic, while this is your fight, you need to be here to fight it. They are looking to scare you, or kill you for some reason, perhaps they are just hungry. We use an illusion of Ontash to draw them out, then we subdue and kill." Her meaning is clear, her eyes fall on the three mages, "It needs to be accurate."
Moving to the doorway she discreetly wipes the tear from her eye, and watches the fields for a short space of time.

Artanis is making his preparations to go onto the roof with Pyros when Mira breaks out into a song. He mentally rolls his eyes at the end of the song and thinks to himself: Now THERE was an inspirational and uplifting tune. NOT! Whatever happened to songs like "The girl I left behind me" or "Garry Owen"?
Refocusing his thoughts to the task at hand, he quietly asks Ontash: "How can we get onto the roof?"

Maria and Ontash take in the song, their already red-rimmed eyes shimmering with moisture. At the end, the song seems to have fortified them.
After a few long moments, Ontash recovers himself and speaks, I will show you the crossbow, then. You can get to the roof easily by stepping through the window in the loft. From there it is a simple matter to get to the top. The chimney is very sturdy, you could use it as an anchor. He thanks the bard quietly. He leaves the room and soon returns with a rather large crossbow and a brace of six heavy bolts.
Merrick notes Jerry's discomfort and speaks quietly to her alone, Are you not feeling well? Elsa passes the mages a handful of silver sling stones. If I'm guarding the door, I doubt I'll have a chance to use my sling. [6 silver sling stones]
[Nice pick, Jen. Frye?]

(Yup, song wasnt meant to inspire the others but will inspire them)
When he returns with the weapon she sighs, "Sadly it's too big for my bolts, I have some silver tipped" she explains, her thoughts go to Jerry, releasing that Elsa has that covered she moves to the mages. Getting them together.
"So we need an illusion, with sight noise and smell.. he should be shoutung at them trying to drive them away." She explains.

Pyros will run off to the loft and start to climb up to the roof.
[Roll required?]
Once up there he will tie off his silk rope to the chimney.
