Gunter looks ruefully at the water.
"I think at this point, that chest is a lost cause. I say we cut our losses, get Shersea home and head back to town to see if we can dig up any more information on the kidnappings. That is, after all, why we are out here in the first place, right?"

"I suppose so...." Brax's face falls, "I am sorry. It slipped, it was my Life or it...'

Gunter puts an arm on her shoulder.
"Don't worry about it...there's always more treasure to be had in the world. Better to make sure you live to see another day than dying because of a few silver pieces." He lowers his voice and leans in, "Don't tell Searos I said that."

Folding herself into him she presses her head against his chest he can feel her strong body shake.
"We had better get off this rock." she blushes and turns away. "And thank you. At least i know you do not just need me for healing." she jokes, her bright eyes flashing.

Vee gets on the Rock again (I hope there is enough space?!?) "I agree, we should get off here, its very... hmm... uncomfortly here. With the sea cats and so on."

Vee manages to get on the rock as well.

The sea cats are beached, the female seems to be unconscious, the male licking her. It might be a good idea to quickly leave the rock and seek safety on the beach before the male decides to take it out on the attackers...

"Come, let us go." Brax slides off the rock slowly, splashing in the water she pulls herself through the water, offering Vee her hand in the process. "Mistress Vee?"

Searos looks at Shersea "What did the water woman say? I know she said something."
Searos does not look to Brax and Gunther given that they have come back empty handed and he is a might upset about it. Her life or the treasure? What kind of stupid talk is that. Treasure IS life.

"She said her father will reward us.." Brax responds, "Besides that chest is not lost, if you can think of a way to get it." She suggests to the thief.

Searos mutters to himself "Its like I have to come up with every money making idea around here. Pretty soon I think I'm just going to suggest we enslave the local populace. Might make some good coin on that, though they do look kinda scrawny I suppose. Eh, someone always needs slaves."
He stares at the water a bit as he continues to mumble and then looks over at Brax. "Why doesn't the water witch just get it for us? Can't she summon a dolphin or something to grab it? The cat-fish look distracted and it wouldn't be that hard to just kill them off while they are sitting there."

"Interesting." Brax muses stroking her chin while in the water. "Could you aid us in getting the Chest?" She asks, relaying Searos message to Shearsea.

"I'm afraid that if we go into the water again, the sea cats might come for us. They have beaten me nearly lifeless once, and brought me to their mistress the Sea Hag" Shersea shudders. "I want to go into the water somewhere else and swim home, then I will come back to you with your reward. And I think that someone of my people will get the chest out for you as part of your reward, if it is important for you."
"I will cover our retreat to the shore" Kim offers. "If the sea cats approach us, I will use the spell Sanbalet used on us to stop them reaching us. But I will not let them drown to get at the treasure, or to get their pelts. They have a right to live in their realm." Kim gestures to the others to leave the rock first.

"You have proved yourself trust worthy." Brax says with a kindly smile, "I would be happy to help and let you free. Do we all agree?"

Gunter tenses slightly as Brax leans into him...although it's not altogether unpleasant. His pulse speeds up slightly and he stumbles for words.
"Works for me...anything that'll get us to dry land and around a warm fire," he gestures at his soaked clothes.

Searos puts his arrows away, makes sure everything he had is all strapped up and ready to go and then just leaves while waving over his shoulder. "Fine, whatever. Just make sure we get some payment out of this detour. I don't work for free and last I checked, neither do wenches."
