"I guess it depends who you think I am. And yeah, we may have a clue what you are facing. We were just coming to report it but didn't know how to.." she offers her hand, "As Pyros says, I'm just Mira."
She turns, putting her back to the Kender and allowing the attention to fall on her (she motions to him to leave subtly with her hand)
"Jerry is best placed to tell you, if I'm honest "

You are La Gitane Rouge... he says in Elven. So it is true... this morning that it was in front of your door... And... his eyes settle on Jerry and he goes pale. Just like the first one.... I found the first victim, several days ago... he is right... they all look like you...
Jerry sighs, Yes, yes. My father is the one killing them all. Maybe at first because he mistook one for me but now I think he does it to torment or taunt me more than anything. She moves beside Mira, and knocks on the door. Sergeant on duty you said? Thank you. I'm sure you've a post to be getting back to, hmm? She says.
Mayhew nods and sketches a bow at the group, making his way back to his station.
After a moment the small window, no greater than might accommodate the eyes of a human sized creature, built into the door slides open. The eyes scan the party before focusing on Mira and Jerry as the nearest.

Not having to be told twice, Pyros will subtly slip away. No reason to tempt the local law enforcement since he has not been in any trouble yet.

"I am." she answers moving closer to Jerry, she wraps an arm around the woman protectively, hoping her fame will help to shield her somehow. "Thank you." she adds speaking to Mayhew as he departs.
"Greetings." She raises a hand, speaking in Harmonian, "We have some information on the attacks, can we please speak to the Sergeant on duty?"

Karl had remained silent, aware that he had little to add to this situation, he stayed by Jerry and Mira protecting the Ladies as best as he as able.

le Sergent ? Et de quoi s’agit-il ? The voice behind the door is suspicious as it inquires as to her motives, but the eyes soon return to Jerry and narrow slightly. Hum, je comprends. Entrez. Some muffled metallic clacking noises sound through the door as the latches are thrown and the oaken portal opens wide enough for one person to file in at a time.
[who all intends to proceed inside?]

Esker Manyblades
Feeling a bit like a bull in a china shop in such surroundings, Esker will remain waiting outside, ever alert.

Jerry and Mira move inside, followed by Merrick, Karl (and any others). They are led through a small guard room with a rough table and chairs, a pair of guards watching them as the first ushers them into the structure. Tight, winding stairs take them up and past other stations. Eventually an oaken door appears on one side of the stairwell, though open it is banded with iron. Inside lies a spartan office with little more than a desk, small book shelf full of stacks of reports and other papers, and a pair of wooden chairs. Behind the desk a man with black hair greying at the temples sits, reading over a few leafs of paper.
The guardsman knocks at the door frame. When the man at the desk looks up, the guard speaks again in that musical local language. The Sergeant eyes the group before him, eyes taking in every detail before he nods and dismisses the younger guard with a wave. He gestures for them to enter the office. Preemptively Jerry speaks, I don't suppose you speak Elven, do you? She asks, moving into the room. The man blinks and responds in Elven. A little... Bastian says you know the killer? He says, with a steady and deliberate effort.
Meistersinger's Tower: (Exterior)
Cross nudges the large black raven, saying Go see what you can see... Spreading it's wings in preparation, the bird launches from his shoulder and takes to the air, climbing in wide circles above. Who knows... maybe he will find something. The white-haired elf grins.

Esker is waiting outside, Cross and Elsa will remain with him. What of Iscind?

"I speak some Harmionian, I can translate what is needed." Mira answers as she sits down, "You have noticed the similarity between Jerry and those that were killed? We have reason to believe the Killer is her Father." She pauses allowing Jerry to answer more, translating as she does.
"Apparently her Father is a Beast like no other." (Worst than the Beasts that stalk this place, she thinks to herself).. Mira translating:
"He is a Vampire, something you are likely to have never seen, it may be killed by direct exposure to sunlight or by immersion in running water for a while. That knowledge on its own is not so very helpful. There is more, a lot more.
"It casts no reflection in a mirror, casts no shadows and can move in complete silence. Physically it is very strong, and it can hold you with its gaze.. It may not enter a private dwelling without invitation but may Charm anyone opening the door or window and so forth to gain that invitation.
"They are repelled by garlic, or a strongly presented mirror, Powerful weapons or those blessed or holy water or those with strong faith can stop it. Even then it regenerates unless 'killed' whereupon it turns into a gas and returns to its coffin. it may be paralysed by a wooden stake through the heart. Subsequent beheading and stuffing its mouth with holy wafers will kill it."
"We believe its hiding somewhere, an old basement, somewhere it can hide during the day." Mira explains.

"Sorry, I know this is a lot. This is all pretty important. We'll help in any way we can. I'm .. a little emotional. Laisa was my friend. I cared for her a great deal." She gives her best smile, even if it's tinged with sadness.

At first the Sergeant seems skeptical of the supernatural explanation, as if perhaps the Bard might be exaggerating for the sake of storytelling. Whether the urgency, emotion or some other quality in her voice is responsible, at some point during the explanation he seems to begin to take her account as genuine.
A look of concern forms on his features. That is troublesome... We have no way to combat the supernatural... unless the priests are more capable than expected... So it hides out in the daytime? I'm not sure what we can do aside from hunt for it...
Jerry gives a physical description of her father, which the man records in detail. He eyes her warily, And what of your plans against this thing, since it hunts for you?

[Sorry, realized the npc asked a question it might be best for Jerry to answer]
Jerry grimaces. First we need to find it. But failing that, we have some plan. It would be much preferred to locate its lair, but as nightfall is swift approaching that seems less likely to happen this evening. In fact... she hesitates, but watches the sergeant's face closely, This is the sort of place it might choose to hide out... have you noticed anything... off about the other guardsmen lately? Or an increase in vermin?
The man shakes his head. Everything has been normal lately, aside from the killings. We have cats in the fortress that help keep the vermin problem to a minimum.

"Would we be able to look, perhaps tomorrow? Just to be on the safe side? Someone could accompany us at all times... " She checks the window, aware she had a song to write, and places to be.
Karl steps forward, speaking Elven, he had remained silent until now. "I advise you take the Ladies up on the offer, I am not aware of such a creature, but I would suggest it is Evil beyond measure."

I would have to clear it with the captain first. You can understand it is not a typical request, though of course I see the need. If you return in the morning I will have an answer by then.
