Re: Out of Character discussion
Does a mule move any faster than a walker?
The no feed makes it an attractive option for certain.
Also, Nocturno requires 24 hrs of "rest". Then time to regain spells after that again. So any transport will be faster than him going 0 feet.
Sorry Im no longer up on my 2e trivia. So I guess mule vs horse speed is what I need.

Re: Out of Character discussion
About the same, but they can haul a lot. up to 250 lbs without any encumbrance. 2/3 of it's movement up to 375 lbs, and 1/3 up to 500 lbs. Nocturno and Jordek could ride it and make better time than they did on the way down (because of jordek's base speed). Yes, nocturno would have to rest a full day before setting out unless all he did was ride. With a mule he could essentially partly rest while riding 2 days and memorize spells tomorrow morning. And they would still make it in time. and with Jordek's number of healing spells he could juice him up morning of the 2nd day.
Mule speed 12 (same as unencumbered med sized humanoid)
Horse speed 24

Re: Out of Character discussion
Any artistic folk in the group?
I also don't know if the character would think of this.
Nocturno has Blindfighting. I was thinking blindfold, and then paint eyes where his eyes should be. Might be good enough to fool the creature for a few rounds.

I figured Katten would probably sense and smell him before anyone else, fits with her chr and what she is.

Oh and Dargon, Katten shares similar characteristics with Kal (Kaldale was made in a hurry and her personality was partly borrowed from Katten).

Ok So that makes sense. Ranger type. Bullock is kind of an arrogant Mage type swinging a meter and a half two handed sword that he kept from a Firbolg that gave him attitude.
Re: Out of Character discussion
Is Bullock speaking elven?
(Without knowing that I can't respond with Linar.)

Yes I know Languages: Common, Minotaur, Dwarven, Elven, Gnome, Orc, Goblin, and Gnoll. And was speaking elven.
Re: Out of Character discussion
Th v much!
(Linar doesn't speak much Common yet, but he practises whenever he gets the chance. on the plus side, he could teach folks the drow silent language.)

Gaze attacks
-surprised characters automatically meet the gaze and must save
-Fighting and not avoiding eye contact, save each round while doin so
-Fighting while 'avoiding eye contact' but still facing the creature. no combat penalty to attacking, but there is a low % chance each round to accidentally meet the creature's gaze
-Fight by looking into a reflection at the foe: -2 to hit foe, no shield or dex bonus to AC for PC, reportedly safe from gaze... (second hand advice only)
-blindfold/blind fighting: normal penalties for blind fighting, no risk of meeting the gaze
