Brusen wakes from his nap before he accidentally falls from his horse. He notices everyone is on the roadhouse and goes into the building and sits. Brusen orders a meatpie and a mug of beer.
he then closes his eyes and leans back in the chair.

Papa nods to Angel but says, "It still seems relatively quiet. So far, this trip is the easiest money I ever made, really."

"I sincerely apologize for upsetting your game board. I would like to watch you play again if you don't mind. I find board games interesting, especially ethnic ones!" rambles Bastian before biting off a hunk of bread and taking a swig of mead.

Angel, outside watches the conversation go on inside, resting beside a tree she removes her helm, letting her dirty blonde hair fall about her shoulders.
Ignoring the rest of the world she relaxes in the sun.

Angel's moment of solitude is interrupted by Hiric, Fraso's manservant. "It's not up to me to safeguard your stuff, soldier." Seeing no understanding on Angel's face, he continues: "Those stable boys were taking an unhealthy interest in your saddlebags before I chased them off. I'd check the tack, too, if I were you. Who knows if they may have slit a strap or two to drum up business for the local leatherworker."

"My apologies, I will deal with them this instant, thank you."
With that Angel will stand, place her helm on her head and walk purposely towards the stable, hands on her weapon.
When she gets there she'll go straight to towards Praesul, the horse would kick anyone off if they tried to ride him. Her bedroll was attached to the saddle, she'd slept on the ground before, but it would be a loss.
Like any good solider she travelled light, keeping the majority of her possessions on her person.

"I can't say that I have." Elias says, sitting down to join the man. "My name is Elias Weaver; I am one of Renwe's men. Your name?"

The board resembles a checkerboard, but is half again as wide. The twenty-six pieces are cut stones, white marble and black glass, one each of which is adorned with a contrasting-colored star. "Penge-soldat is a game of maneuver, copying the work of the imperial legions. Pieces move in straight lines forward or sideways. Flank an opposing piece on two sides and it is taken from the board. The star must be immobilized by four pieces to be taken." The dwarves continue for a time explaining the rules, and demonstrate game play for Bastian.
---------------------------------------
Praesul is still in the courtyard in front of the roadhouse, with a feedbag on his nose.
A quick check reveals that the saddlebags are still closed, indicating that the boys either did not have time to open them, or that they were careful about closing them again.
The stableboys made themselves scarce after being scolded by Hiric, and are nowhere to be found.
---------------------------------------
Up close, the man appears older than he looked from a distance, and although his gear is old and worn, it is clean, apart from the burs and bits of dead leaves stuck to it (and stuck in his hair as well). And despite his apparent poverty, he is wearing a very large yellow gold ring, with a large red stone, on one finger.
"I'm Griin, servant of the Shalm" he says. He looks at his bowl of honey, concerned, and after a moment clearly filled with internal debate breaks off a small hunk of bread, dips it in the bowl, and offers it to Elias.

Angel opens her bags, checks the contents, only clothes but experience has taught her a good set of clothing lasts you well. She'll take the horse by its reins, and lead it back to her spot in the Sun, loosening the saddle as she does so.
She'll check the straps fully then make herself stay alert as punishment for her lax behaviour.
[ooc]She really doesnt leave too much on the horse, bedroll on the back of the saddle, everything valuable she carries. I changed it so your posts make sense[ooc/]

[OOC: Sweet!
Latrunculi! I love that game! At this point I'm going to let things progress with the story. I keep feeling like I'm distracting from the point of being here.

Angel checks the other horses before she returns to the sun, has anything been disturbed?
Once she does that she'll find Hiric and thank him. Her mistake, not his.

Nothing was disturbed. Either the boys are more honest than Hiric gave them credit for, or he got to them before they could do any damage.
Hiric is unmoved by Angel's thanks. "A lot of help you'd be if we get attacked by bandits and you wind up lying on the ground from a cut girth strap. Just do your job, soldier, and I'll do mine."

Muttering to her herself "Humans, as stubborn as horses.. Why do i bother?"
She goes back to her spot in the Sun. She would tell the others to checktheir mounts but if thats the attitude she'll keep quiet. She'll remove her helm and sit quietly in the Sun.

Brusen awakes when his food and drink arrive. He then eats it readily. Brusen then makes his way over to the Dwarves playing Penge-soldat and is enjoying the memory of playing with his fellow clan mates.
