Galenye smiles at the guard, especially upon hearing his statement. "I would certainly take the time to enjoy the attention then, good sir," she teases as she moves to stand beside him. "I'm called Galenye, and these two two young women are Selowen and Jinali," she motions to each one in turn when she says their names. "We came here to support our friend in the trails, and now it seems we are here to solve a mystery as well. Would you be willing to answer a few questions for us, if you can?" she asks.

Erastin, Targin and Karathos

"The Grandmaster gave orders not to be disturbed," the guard says. "He and the other High Knights are in a private session. He's already told you all there was to know about the theft in that meeting."

========

Galeneye, Selowen and Jinali

"By all means, I am always glad to help out the Knighthood in any way, including when it comes to recovering that sword," the guard says. "Oh, and my name is Sir Robert, by the way. Anyway, you are the third group to come speak to me, so by all means, ask away." He certainly gives the impression he's loving this, and probably is not used to getting so much attention before, having been a lowly guard.

Katathos looks at Erastin for a clue at what to do next. He's perfectly aware that his friend is smarter than he is, and knows more about the ways of the knights. It had been a near miracle he had been able to find out so much from Corya.

"Well, I had just relieved the previous guard from duty, and was preparing for another long night of boredom!" He sneezes, and winces from the pain it causes his head. "Sorry. Where was I? Oh, yes. I was practicing some moves with my sword when I heard someone coming down the stairs. I knew it was a knight, because plate mail does not exactly lend itself to stealth.

"I greeted the knight and, since I recognized him, let him past me into the Chamber of Paladine. He said he had some prayers to attend to. The next thing I knew, I was lying on the cold stone floor outside the Chamber, holding my aching head.

"The worst thing about all of this is that I remember recognizing the knight, but I can’t recall his face now! I mean, I know that blows to the head can make you forget things, but I cannot believe that I would forget the most important thing that has ever happened to me!" This obviously frustrates him a great deal, for he knows how important this is to the knighthood as well.

"I understand, we would not want to disturb him, or the other Knights." He says with a lowered head, "Please can you pass him a message? He will remember me, the Candidate who helped in saving his life." He hated pomposity, but it was needed right now.

"Please tell him we leave for Solanthus in a short while, and that I have a question to ask, one that is related to Sturms sword, but based on new information." With that he bows and heads off to find Lord Delson instead.

It takes some doing, but after asking around a bit, Erastin, Targin and Karathos manage to track down Sir Delson, who is actually in the process of packing up and heading home now that the spring festival has ended.

"Ah, Rivenguard. Any luck with your investigation?" he asks as he packs away some of his extra clothes into a pack.

"My Lord, we have indeed found a clue in Sturms tomb, a Solanthian light-gem in the shape of an Eagle. They are fixed to a single person thus, find the owner, and get a step closer." He gives Delson the respect he deserves. "Do you perhaps know of anyone who has such a Gem? I understand if you do not, we plan to head to Solanthus as soon as possible to find the owner."

Delson ponders this a moment. "Well, just about anyone from Solanthus likely has one of those gems. They're pretty useful, and because they aren't magical, most knights don't mind using them." He thinks a moment more as he packs up his gear. "I can think of four knights off-hand who are from that city. Warren Strongbow, Arius Steelhelm, Kellin Solanius, and Keris Virtainus. Those are just the ones I know, mind you."

"Are those four still in the Keep?" the dwarf interrupts.

"Did the knight have a dog with him?" Galenye asks. "Of course, we understand if you don't remember what with that nasty bump on your head," she says sweetly.

Erastin/Targin/Karathos

Delson considered this as he sheathed his sword. "I don't believe so. The spring festival is over now, thanks to this theft, so most of the knights have moved on. I believe Sir Warin said something about heading to Palanthas, looking for excitement. Sir Arius, I believe, mentioned he was heading to Tarsis on some urgent business. Sir Kellin said he was going home, I think. Finally, Sir Keris told me he was going east on a 'mission of importance' for the knighthood. Something about a whole bunch of new minotaurs showing up on Mithas. He said they supposedly came from even further east than that."

Galeneye/Jinali/Selowen

"Yes!" Robert blurts out, bursting with pride. "The knight had a large mastiff with him, and it was very well trained. Does that help at all?" He then falls back into his pillows, his face pale and drawn. He seems more contented now that he has actually been able to remember something of use.

"If I may ask you two questions, Sir" Karathos turns to Sir Delson. "The first is, does any of the knights you mentioned use an eagle as his sign?
The second, what exactly is reported about the people that once were mine? Might someone know more of that?"

"I don't recall any of those knights having any special affinity for eagles," Delson says, "at least, not to my knowledge. It's possible, though. It's a popular symbol among the knights. As for the minotaurs, all I know is over a score of them arrived on Mithras recently. Supposedly from a land far away. Sir Keris felt it was important to investigate, although I hardly think an extra twenty or thirty minotaurs is going to destroy the knighthood. I'm not sure who else would know more about it other than Sir Keris himself."

"Thank you, Sir" Karathos says simply.
