Chapter 2: Temple of Torm: Temple of Terror

Navi expertly bypasses Kata and rushes towards the stairs. Escape is within eyesight when she suddenly feels the caress of Kata's whip as it wraps around her ankles. As the lash tightens, she falls prone to the floor..."I have many toys, Navi. Perhaps, I'll be allowed the chance to show you some of my favorites?"

Egewulf and Xiindor will arrive in two more rounds and can act in the third.

"If you hadn't attacked me, we could have had some fun." Navi grins, "But I'm no ones toy." Firing the wand she drops the rapier and reaches into her boot for a hidden blade.

"Graah!" Kata grunts when the bolt strikes her chest. But her advance does not slow as she approaches Navi with a grim determination in her eyes... "Don't worry young one... We shall." She drives her blade into Navi's side while she lies upon the floor.

Reaching for the Stilletto she lets it fly (hit 9, so miss) and launches another magic missile, the pain searing through her body.. she was going to die.. that was obvious

"Somebody help me." she shouts out, desperation coming to her.

With a confident smirk Kata kicks at the elf maidens temple, but Navi rolls her head with the blow.

As Egewulf and Xiindor arrive they witness a sight. An elf maiden lies on her back with a wound to her side and shoulder, her legs wrapped in the cord of a whip. Above her stands a naked human girl with numerous wounds. The girl wields a rapier but is currently kicking and stomping the elf maiden.

"Help me! She's crazy!" Navi shouts, "Or she'll take me like the others!"

Reaching for her last Stilletto, she lets it fly only to have it fall harmlessly, the wand fires once more, aiming directly at Kata's pretty face.

"They are taking the elves!" she shouts, "please..."

Xiindor dons her shield upon her left arm as she encounters Navi, and readies a spell for the naked female standing in front of her

"Arrgh! That is enough from you!" The bolt sears the side of Kata's face as her foot finally connects to Navi's skull. The elf sees stars as her face bounces off the floorboards... Kata addresses the newcomers. "She barged in and attacked me while I was getting dressed. Careful she's has weapons hidden all over her."

Hearing the plea from the girl on her back and the accusation from the other still standing, Egewulf makes the hastily decision to detain both immediately. His attention drawn immediately to the only one still any threat, "Let's lay down those weapons, all of them!.. NOW!" Egewulf commands.

Letting the Wand fall limply at her side for a moment Navi sighs.. "I tried to help her. She charmed two members of the priesthood.." All she had was the wand, what good would it do? The woman was trying to subdue her.

Wand at the ready she will fire only if Kata goes to attack once more. "I'm defending myself.", she adds, pulling the ring close with her other hand.

"Don't trust her, she lies! Do I really look like the one who was ready for a fight?" Kata kicks one last time at Navi's head, while the elf lets loose with her wand in response. The blow knocks Navi unconscious, while Kata crumbles to the floor. It is not the body of human girl that falls upon the floor though. What lies next to Navi looks like a young sun elf except for the clawed hands, batlike wings, and forked tail.

The people standing in their doorways begin to talk and point at the winged creature. You hear things like "demon invasion" and "red wizards"

Mewing in pain the small grey cat sneaks out from under the table he was hiding, his ears prick up at the sound from upstairs..

Darting upwards the cat is almost invisible as he darts up the stairs.

"We should bind them both" Egewulf says, "call the City Watch" he adds. Keeping his longsword drawn, Egewulf moves passed the two women on the ground and checks for any other combatants. "Are any of you with either of these two?" he asks, looking about "Did anyone see how it started?".

The witnesses are quick to deny any knowledge or association with either of the downed combatants. However Egewulf receives a quick consensus stating the fighters spilled forth from the far room with the elf girl attempting to flee from the other.
