"I thought we were not trying to take sides." Is all Val can think of.

"We know which ones are Leaguers because they say they are Leaguers and spout Leaguer rhetoric," says the male adult dwarf. "It's pretty obvious!"

"So who of the people here are league and who are not?" Ouragana asks the dwarf.

Jocelyn looks over to Val. "We aren't taking sides. We are just trying to stop them from fighting," she says before she looks at the groups arguing. "Your city is on fire, you guys are worried about who is with the League and who isn't?" she asks. "All right, who left alive at this point is with the League?" she asks.

"What do you mean we are not taking sides?!?" Baeros turns towards Val in rage, "Of course we are taking sides. The Leaguers are destroying Mond. They are the attackers, not the civilians of Mond." He looks around angrily, "But what we see here looks like a civil war! Something is fishy. Do you claim there are citizens of the city which are Leaguers?" Baeros asks in confusion.

"I sure as hell ain't League," the dwarf adult replies.

"Neither am I!" cries the gnome teen girl. "But those two are!" she adds, pointing to the human female and dwarf teen.

Jocelyn wrote:"Your city is on fire, you guys are worried about who is with the League and who isn't?"

"Aye, why do you think the city is on fire?" asks the adult dwarf. "The League summoned monsters and sent a pair of crazy wizards to blow everything up!"

"The League is only trying to protect itself from those tyrants who would take away our free rights!" the human woman argues.

"Aye, they're everywhere," the dwarf adult says. "All over the island, in every city and town, infiltrating top levels of government!"

"So, instead of banning together to save your city, you decide to kill each other over politics?" Jocelyn asks. She seems pretty exasperated at this point. "Without a city, your politics are really kind of meaningless. Who started this actual fight?" she asks. "Did any of these so called Leaguers that you were fighting actually have anything to do with trying to burn this city down to the ground?" she asks.

Baeros jumps in to the conversation. "This is stupid. Even if there are Leaguers live here they wouldn't accept those crazy wizards burning their houses." he shouts, spit firing from his mouth. "Right?!?" he demands from the human. "Are YOU living here?" he points at him his face starts to get red.
Takit feeling Baeros anger starts to growl ominously.

Val steps up. "Instead of getting involved in all of the fighting, we ought to see if we can't deal with the cause of all this. We are getting side tracked if we want to change anything around here."

"Right!" Baeros agrees. "Who is responsible for the commotion? The mages? Where are they?" he asks the Leager.

Jocelyn wrote:"Who started this actual fight?"

"The League did!" the dwarf adult claims. "They summoned those monsters and started raising the dead and lobbing fireballs everywhere!"

"We didn't start it!" the human woman argues. "They were trying to make our faith illegal! That's a violation of our rights! We have to protect our way of life!"

"We weren't banning anything!" the dwarf retorts. "We just wouldn't turn the city over to League control!"

"Don't act stupid! We know all about this city's plans to destroy the League and our freedom!"

Baeros wrote:"Are YOU living here?"

The woman readies her belaying pin at Baeros' hostile posturing. "This is my home, you're the foreigners here!"

Baeros wrote:"Who is responsible for the commotion? The mages? Where are they?"

Before she can respond, there is another explosion a few blocks to the north and another plume of smoke begins to rise there. "Sounds like that's them now," she answers.

"Oh, for the love of Octhanus," Jocelyn says. "Val, do you have any rope?" she asks.

"No, I usually don't carry rope." Val says.

Ouragana walks over to the people she put to sleep. Do any of them have wounds that could make them bleed out in their sleep?

"That's because I carry it for her," Andar points out, holding up the twenty five feet of silk rope he's been carrying for the half-orc since they entered the jungle.

Ouragana checks on the victims of her slumber spell. None of them appear to be in any life-threatening danger at the moment.
