Simone takes a shot on the darkspawn that the two mages are targeting, and reloads her crossbow quickly.

Wallace aims at Genlock #1, and fires his arcane lance again.

Davne pulls free her sword and, standing where she is, readies herself to best block or parry any of the throwing axes that might start raining down on her.

Wallace takes careful aim at the same darkspawn before and releases another small bolt of energy. This time, the creature is well within range and is hit in the chest by the arcane lance. His armor absorbs most of the hit, but it still weakens him further.

Simone also takes careful aim with her crossbow and fires at the same darkspawn. The bolt strikes the genlock in the throat, dropping it to the ground in mid-run. It twitches a bit, then moves no more.

The Alpha, perhaps spurred on by the death of one of his comrades, speeds up considerably. It starts to run straight at Davne.

Alenka targets a different genlock with another spell, this one conjuring a wave of cold to cover the monster. The chill pierces its armor, but the genlock keeps moving, undeterred.

The three remaining normal genlocks continue moving slowly and carefully forward. One seems to be going for Alenka, while the other two are heading toward Simone and Wallace.

Finally, Davne draws her sword and enters a defensive stance, ready for whatever may come her way.

(OOC: Reloading a crossbow is a major action. Each round you get one major action and one minor action, or two minor actions. You cannot have two major actions, such as firing a crossbow and then reloading it in the same round.

As for me, I've screwed up a few times already. I forgot to reduce the damage of Alenka's Arcane Bolt due to the Genlock's armor, and I forgot that Genlocks get a +2 to spell defense, so that Winter's Grasp shouldn't have hit at all. Whoops.)

Sensing the fight was right upon them and expecting Genlock 2 to continue it's advance, Davne carefully considers how she will strike with her bastard sword. Focussed, she makes her attack at Genlock 2.

(If I understand correctly I have 5 stunt points now? Can I use a combination of different stunts, specifically Mighty blow and Pierce armour within this attack?)

Oh, but I think the +2 to defense you get for defending stacks with your shield, so if you defend with a shield, you get a +4 to defense.)

Simone reloads her crossbow and takes aim at the darkspawn heading towards Alenka.

Taking careful aim, Wallace fires another Arcane Lance, this time at the Genlock coming right for him. However, the blast is a little high and goes over the genlock's head, missing him entirely.

Simone finishes reloading her crossbow, then peeks out behind her cover to draw a bead on the Genlock moving toward Alenka.

The Alpha moves forward and then throws its axe at Davne, who easily shrugs it off with her shield.

Alenka casts another Arcane Bolt at the genlock coming for her, but while the missile hits, it simply fizzles away, doing no damage. "Damn, they have some kind of resistance to magic!" she warns.

The other three genlocks move forward, as well. One goes for Alenka, throwing his axe at her when he's in range. It strikes her right shoulder, but her Rock Armor protects her from some of the damage. She still hisses in pain as blood is drawn. Another genlock does the exact same thing to Wallace with an almost identical result. The last one, who is still the furthest behind, heads toward Simone.

The genlock who attacked Alenka completely ignored Davne, running right past her. This proved a big mistake. The freewoman pivots and then raises her sword overhead before bringing it down on the genlock with all of her strength. The blade slices deeply into the darkspawn, cutting through its armor and dealing considerable damage. The creature shrieks in pain like a stuck pig, but does not drop just yet.

Wallace curses under his breath, readies his staff, and fires yet another arcane lance, this time at number 2

Davne's sword carved through the lesser Genlock easily enough, however that moment of confidence was short lived as she witnessed the massive and heavily armoured one barrelling down upon her. "I think you might have to finish that one for me" she calls to the group.

(I'm hoping it's possible to take major/minor actions in any order, so here I'm thinking attack first and then move north. If not Davne will attack and stand still)

Davne attacks genlock alpha (3d6+3=8)

As the biggest Genlock comes at her, she attempts to strike back with her sword, however his momentum in combat turns her attack into more of a flail with her eyes closed behind her shield than anything dangerous.

(Do unsuccessful attacks generate stunt points?)

After her attack she uses a minor action to move north up to where Wallace and Alenka are standing, attempting to reduce the surface area on the more vulnerable mages.

Simone keeps an eye on the darkspawn heading towards her, but aims and fires on the one that is fighting with Alenka.

Wallace takes careful aim at the genlock attacking Alenka and fires another arcane lance, but this one misses, as well.

Simone fires her crossbow at the genlock attacking Alenka and hits it with a glancing blow. She then quickly reloads and fires it at the genlock coming at her, but her shot goes wide.

The Alpha draws its battle axe and menacingly approaches Davne, chuckling darkly to itself.

Alenka casts another spell. This one hits the genlock attacking her and seems to sap its lifeforce, transferring it to Alenka. Her wounds heal and instead appear on the genlock. It shrieks in pain and collapses to the ground, moving no more.

Of the remaining two genlocks, one draws its battle axe and moves toward Wallace. The other moves forward toward Simone and throws its axe at her. It hits her in the shoulder, and knocks her several feet back, out of cover and closer to the edge of the ravine.

Finally, Davne swings her sword at the alpha but he easily deflects it with its shield. She then backs away, closer to the two mages.
