So, Tristen. Can I run the "obviously requested" sub-race?

Unfortunately, all I have are vague hints of what sub-race you mean. If you're wanting something undead or unnatural, I can go ahead and say no. Otherwise I'm not certain what you mean.

The odds are pretty good of me allowing a race from the PHB, Complete Elf/Gnomes&Halflings/Dwarves books. Beyond that I'm not making any commitments until I can research it a bit. It's best if you just tell me which race you intend (not exclusively native to Ravenloft like the Visitani), and which class you want to try for.

If you want to keep it secret from the others, that's fine. Just pm me.

Keep in mind, the less human you look the more attention, likely unwanted, you'll attract.

One question, so I can fix Mira's history, what would the current date be in Krynn?

Intersting question. I suppose during the dragonarmy occupation of the Ansalon would be best. Say late spring 352 AC. Haven is occupied by the red dragon army, but rumors have just begun to surface of a victory against the blues at the High Clerist's Tower in Palanthius.

You can choose to start either within or outside of Haven (since you said she would be from nearby); or you can start her elsewhere if she had been traveling before. Keep in mind travel would be restricted near Haven for the last couple years, so if she is elsewhere it will have been for a while.

Excellent, just what I had hoped, fits in perfectly with the history I had in mind.

I'm good at random guesses like that 8) that and it's right around the plot of the books and the war of the lance game going on currently in another forum...

I am going to assume the hoopak will need it's own weapon prof.

I also don't see a kender using a shortsword or dagger, they don't strike me as a pokey pokey race, other than with words.

Yes, you will need to use a WP for the hoopak. Shortswords are great for roguey pokey-pokey. A kender rogue can be a sneaky guy, so don't feel like he has to be a fearless 'face everything head on' type. No rogues last long doing that.

Maybe he's a trickster who enjoys goading enemies into traps or sneaking up behind them, getting that sweet backstab dmg, then luring them into a pit :) . Keep in mind, rogues (and only rogues) with the 'set snares' ability can build full-on dungeon style traps...

Just because he isn't afraid doesn't mean he won't take full advantage of his abilities ;) Obviously his preferences are up to you. Maybe he sees backstabs as 'clever use of awesome' rather than cowardly...

Does Krynn Common translate to Common, or the other languages like Elven?

Yes, mostly. For simplicity sake, think of them like dialects of the same language. They will sound odd, but you will understand the gist of the conversation. It will also be very obvious when you hear a language from your homeland.

This is beautiful Tristen...

Oh, and no *base* rogue lasts long, I can attest to the strength of fighter/thief 's
