I've run a lot of random characters, a pretty generic fighter/thief (He's cools though.), a half-elf with flaming wings, a grey elf fire elementalist, and now I'm running a game with the most different NPC I've ever made.

What's next? A Frost Giant Bard that uses words instead of swords?
