The ring clinks down into the space and shortly a terrible grinding noise is heard followed by a sharp explosive POP!
The sound of stone sliding against stone quickly followa and a wedge-shaped section of the wall descends leaving an opening through which to continue. The space beyond is much like the plain stone elsewhere in the tomb, forming the top of a stairwell that descends to the right and out of sight...

"Bryce and Tabbi, come and take a look at this hall way." Zafron will scan the hallway for shifting wall or floor after Tabbi and Bryce investigate for traps or other surprises.

"Van I hope you have a spell prepared to help indicate if we are going into any danger.

Out of Character chat. Tristen can you post the riddle once again to this forum? Can't seem to find it.

Once Bryce and Tabbi are done investigating the first 20 feet of the hallway Zafron will wave the party to start moving.

Van make sure to stay 40 ft behind the last member of the group.

Bryce and Tabbi scrutinize the area intensely and shortly give the all-clear for the first 20 ft. Turning the corner reveals a short stair down snd another turn to the right...

Tabbi, will again investigate the stairs for traps. Zafron will investigate the stairs for pits and falls and moving shifting floors. If everything is secure Zafron will move down the stairs. Saying, "Brother I I'm going down these stairs. If something bad happens to me you better be ready to to pull a fancy trick."

The scouts continue, checking per their respective expertise. They find no hidden hazards alobg the stairs or hall. The passage leads to a lone door.

"I see a door ahead", says Zafron to the members behind him.

"Probably another surprise is waiting for us."

"I know is unreasonable, but I feel like touching the altar again would be fun. Anyone else feels that way?" Galan waits a moment. "No?? OK, maybe after we put the ring in the wall?" he looks around hopefully, only to meet Faladair's stern blank face with a hint of desperation around the corner of his eyes.

Van shakes his head at the left left left talk.

Bryce shrugs and continues down the hall, searching for anything dangerous. He slowly makes his way to the door and checks it as well. Hall looks clear and I don't see any traps on the door. There is no lock but it looks like it is stuck.
