Zafron will lower the ladder into the pit and go down to hammer the spikes. Once the spike are destroyed he will get Bryce and Tabbi to investigate the pit.

Once the eldest Mondoon has descended into the pit and armed himself, the spikes put up little resistance to the ringing onsolaught of his hammer. The poison coated points lie prostrate in the pit, vanquished by his hand. Tabbi and Bryce slide down and examine the excavation, but neither exit nor hidden hazard can be detected beyond the now defunct spikes. Not a bad idea, brother. We did have that one pit passage before, although as I recall it only went one way.

The pit provides no resistance to Galan's winged travel and he lands easily on the opposite side. The door here looks just as the last seemed to. (will he test it while the others are crossing?)

"Since the pit is cleared I suggest we all take turns one at a time coming in and out of the pit."
Zafron will move the ladder from side to side to allow the party members to cross safely one by one. If there is not enough room in the 10x10 feet in front of the next door he will send Bryce to the door with Galan. "Galan after Bryce investigates for traps try to open it. If there is a pit on the other side you won't fall in."
I also want to understand how the floor moves to reveal the pit.

Bryce climbs out using the ladder on the side with the new door. After a few moments he gives the 'all clear'

You could probably cram 8 med sized creatures in the 10x10 space, but they would be cramped (penalties) if they were drawn into melee or do anything physical (physical nwp, saves, ability checks) if there are more than 1 per 5x5 area (like melee conditions)
The pit opens the same way as the ones in the first great hall. Essentially when pressed down the 'lid' slides into slots in the floor to the side and not down into the pit itself.

After Zafron finds no trap, Galan tries to open the second door. If it resists he will say "This is obvious trap. Assuming the second door acts as the first one is dangerous. Anyone remembers references to "two sequential pits or doors" in the riddle?" [edit] he ponders a moment, "Well, if lances will shoot from the walls our stone skin magic will guard us, but if some poisonous gas or acid drops on us... Anyone has poison or acid immunity by the way?" Galan asks half smiling and raising an eyebrow in expectation.[/edit]

Van will shout from behind the 1st door.
"I can help boost your chances to avoid the affects of the poison.(Aid) Or I can remove poison once if you manage to get infected.(Neutralize Poison)

"Everyone stay back." Zafron will try to open the door. He will tie a rope around his waist and throw it back for his brothers to hold on too. Just in case there is a pit on the other side.

Bryce holds the rope as Zafron forces the door. This time he is ready for the trick and the door flies open, slamming against the side wall with a bang! the rope and his balance keep him from stepping onto the floor beyond. Yet another 20 foot length of hallway stretches on to reveal yet another identical looking door...

"Well... that was surprising. I guess we should expect the unexpected as the common phrase says." Galan murmurs disappointedly. "Anyway, good thing you didn't fall. Nice touch with the rope! And now to the next door." and he waits for the scouts to check yet once more the path leading to the next door. [edit] After climbing down and up the pit of course.

After untying the rope rope Zafron says: "Bryce and Tabbi, go check the pit. Van pass me that ladder again." It will be the same deal. Zafron's plan is to hammer any spikes and sure the pit for any secret doors or shifting walls/floors.
