"Oh..." Cal looks crestfallen.

Merrick grins at the exchange but keeps most of his attention on the music. By now the warrior and bard have been gone for some time


Elsa and Pyros: Entrance to the Crystal Club
A small natural cave opened in the cliff just to the right of the seating for the theater. A crowd of locals stood outside of the entrance, and a dozen or so within the tunnel itself. Slipping their way inside, the small folk find a cavern full of natural clear crystals, dotted with rubies and emeralds and sapphires, all glittering with light from small oil-lamps tucked into nooks here and there. In the 15’ long passage that made up the entrance there was a buzz of conversation and a faint background noise almost like a hum. Cold, humid air wafted the scents of perfume and fine wine amid the patrons as footsteps and voices echoed softly back from the gleaming walls.

Further inside a two sets of full-plate flank a 4’ high shelf carved from the living rock, designed to divert the tunnel to one side and further into the cavern. A beautifully ornate wrought-iron gate stands open attended by two lovely young girls at hand to collect the cover charge. The pair watch in surprise as a well-dressed young couple drop platinum into the collection basket! Maybe we should do this some other time, Elsa balks. That is an awful lot of money just to get in…

"Nonsense, I can cover that! The secret of the stage is priceless!" Pyros will go up to the ladies and hold out 10 of his gold, and 5 of his steel.

Elsa adn Pyros: Crystal Club
A... Are you sure? Elsa asks as they approach and the Kender holds out the coins. The young lady gives him a big smile and picks the gold out of his hand, putting it into the basket. BBienvenue sur le jeune monsieur Cristal Club. Nous espérons que vous apprécierez. she says to him as they pass through the gate.

As the pair move beyond the entrance they see the room is filled with dining tables and patrons. Small waterfalls and other intriguing oddities decorate natural alcoves in the cavern walls, and winding passages branch off in several places. Near the back of the main room a large column of crystals rises to the 30’ high ceiling. A masterfully crafted circular bar surrounds it over which hangs a false roof holding various glasses and cups that seem to be made of pure crystal. The bar top and underside of the roof are lined with mirrors, and reflect the gentle lamp lighting back just as the crystalline walls do. Everything is clean and gleams with a soft, crisp light. Just then the singer outside concludes her song and the entire place falls silent. The crystals hummed their harmonic tones for almost a full minute before growing silent. Chatter in the club quickly starts up again.

Pyros will stand in awe with the sound, but he will stay alert to see where the performer comes from.

After a few minutes he still doesn't see the performer, but there are several side passages that lead to other rooms. This is incredible! Elsa breathes. I've never even heard of anything like this before...

Artanis, Cal, Cross, Merrick: The Green
The lady finishes her songs, and once again applause begins from the group at the right of the stage before flowing out to the reat of the amphitheatre and park. Merrick claps enthusiastically and glances at his companions. Isn't it fantastic?


Elsa and Pyros: Crystal Club
Elsa gets two glasses of wine from the bar as Pyros picks a passage at random, then another, then another. Each room is decorated to accentuate the crystals with hidden lamps casting light through them to fill the room. Finally he spots the lady performer as she comes out of a small, narrow passage. The patrons nearby continue to applaud and a young man hands her a crystal goblet of rich red wine. The crowd by the passage is thick, and there is no chance Pyros can pass unnoticed. Elsa hustles up beside him and hands him a goblet of wine made of delicate crystal. I almost didn't find you, this place is like a maze! I heard the clapping and figured you'd be drawn to it...


[Ooc: The time is now 8pm. I'll be trying to finish up this chapter shortly.]

OoC:Pyros' goal is to check out the cave. If the wine glass makes its way into his pouch Ill let you roll/decide if he is bold enough to "accidentally" go on stage. Some food for thought if you want montage the scene.

Artanis applauds and nods in agreement with Merrick's remark: "It certainly is. They all possess a talent I don't have. Well, the town watch has not been summoned so we can only assume that Pyros and Elsa have made it into the club. I shudder at the thought."
