Round 11
Isaril barks and coughs again at the badger who grunts and menaces the weedy goblin’s calf muscles.
[#11 is disadvantaged] Aside from the comradery with the badger, the druid stays with slicing and dicing the surprisingly tough big goblin.
[BG2, AC18, 6 slash] The bloodied goblin grunts but seems set on cutting down Unbar. Craning his neck the druid catches sight of Vic. He smiles and gestures, almost as if blowing something from the back of his hand. Vic feels a breath of sun-warmed air, a moment of relaxation, and then it’s gone. But the sorcerer does look less beaten up.
[Vic regains 10HP and gains 2 temp HP] The goblin leader calls out in an authoritative tone,
"Yousa getta back here!"*
Evidently having had enough of his green-skinned harasser, Val winds up his polearm and sweeps it through a full three-quarters rotation. The brutal blade barely slows as it removes the goblin’s head from its shoulders.
[#8, AC24, 18 slash] The surprised-looking head disappears with a bounce into the darkness before the body flops to the ground. The big man moves across to support Unbar.
At the other end of the cave the elven newcomer becomes one with the shadows before revealing himself a few paces to the left as his arrow punches a bloody hole in the southernmost big goblin.
[BG1, AC18, 10 pierce] Thebloodied goblin howls but stays on his feet. For a heartbeat Luka hears an answering howl from somewhere outside the cavern. Perhaps the wind? Or perhaps a large wolf? The moment passes as Vic’s voice sounds from above, "
Unbar? What are you up to down there?" The elven archer follows the cavern wall westwards.
Unbar strikes his shield with his warhammer and calls down the Radiance of Moradin! Whilst two of the goblins surrounding Unbar manage to avoid the buring light, the third doesn't and dies screaming!
[#BG2, fail, 4 radiance]
The Unsleeping One's fire leaves a scorch mark on the rock wall near Vic but don't affect the sorceror who retaliates with a jet of flame! With the Reactions of a leaping cat the goblins' king grabs one of his subjects
[#13] and interposes the hapless thing as a shield. It drops, lifeless, to the ground.
The big goblin doesn't do so well without its flanking partner and only manages to scrape a line across the dwarf's sturdy armour.
[#BG1, AC18, 7 slash] Intercepted by Val the kings tries to cut the mountain man down to size.
[King, AC 24, 4 slash; AC16, 9 slash; AC10, 8 slash] He bellows,
“Yousa getta in here!” and yet another weedy goblin emerges from amongst the central stone columns.
[#14] Further north, the aother weedy goblin, distracted by the badger, nearly throws its scimitar away.
[#11, AC5, fumble!]
Without any fanfare other than the wolf's low growl, five goblins enter the cavern. One of them is mounted on a large wolf.
