Re: CH 4: Solanthus
"They were GNOMES Targin, Gnomes, how many evil Gnomes have you met?" Erastin shouts, his anger visible, his hands shake on his sword hilt as he turns away. "The Gnomes were here for a reason, they know something, that was obvious, killing them would give us nothing. And Karathos my friend, keeping her alive would serve no purpose." Erastin frowns even more deeply, walking slowly towards his horse.
"Targin, do what you will."

Re: CH 4: Solanthus
Galenye watches the three men with wide eyes. "...It is possible for gnomes to be evil," she says. "And admittedly, we did walk into this whole thing a little foolishly," she adds. "But that doesn't stop the fact that something was a little off with those gnomes. They apparently had a whole big debate before actually attacking us," she points out.
Re: CH 4: Solanthus
"I made a choice, and it was a bad one, yet it was the right one at the time."
Re: CH 4: Solanthus
"Now wait just a moment young one. The GNOMES attacked us first, and yet you walked straight into their midst, thinking you could negotiate. They had already shown their intent, yet you didn't see it through those noble eyes. Yes, it was a bad choice, and NO, it wasn't right at the time. The code as you currently see it is gong to get you, OR someone else dead."
Targin turns and takes his frustration out on the ogre, taking a full round house swing, with his axe, at the neck.

Re: CH 4: Solanthus
Targin's axe quickly separates the ogress' head from her body, and causing a bloody mess--literally--in the process.
Selowen bristles at the act. "Erastin, you were willing to bring those humans in for justice. But I suppose your code of justice only applies to humans and their allies. If she had been human, would you have done the same? I know how human-centric the Solamnics are...but I thought you were different."

Re: CH 4: Solanthus
Karathos looks at Erastin. "Yes, I ask you the same question Selowen just did" he says and locks his big brown eyes with his friend's. Then he turns away, sighs and recollects his silk rope. Is there a creek or stream somewhere close so he can wash it?

Re: CH 4: Solanthus
There is no water source nearby that the minotaur can see, but luckily not too much blood got on the rope itself. He retrieves it easily enough.
Re: CH 4: Solanthus
"I am only doing what is necessary," Erastin says as he remounts his horse. "We have a duty to find the missing sword and its thief, and we have wasted enough time here," he adds, subdued.
Re: CH 4: Solanthus
"Yes, you are probably right" Karathos concedes and comes back to the road, walking slowly and trying to find the posture that hurts the least. His mood is subdued, too.

Re: CH 4: Solanthus
Galenye lets out a small sigh and moves on with the rest of the group. ~Everyone's emotions seem to running high,~ she thinks to herself.
Re: CH 4: Solanthus
"Human or not, they attacked us. Don't accuse me of racism based on their make, their behavior drives the action, and, I, for one will not let petty concerns cost me my life."

Re: CH 4: Solanthus
The gnome has small-sized piecemeal armor, a couple of fire grenades, and 27 steel pieces. The male ogre has 85 steel pieces and five wolf pelts. The female ogre has 95 steel pieces and five wolf pelts. This will certainly help in paying for healing once they reach town.
Re: CH 4: Solanthus
"You realise I have no idea what I am doing." Erastin comments quietly to Galenye, "I am doing my best, but its not always easy." He moves on with the others, frowning at what he just let happen to the Ogre.

Re: CH 4: Solanthus
"You are learning," Galenye says. "Your goals are to become a knight, so you have to think about what that entails. I don't know anything about the code or honor," she says. "Targin is right though. They did attack us. I wanted to know why they attacked us though because I thought their behavior was odd," she says, obviously speaking about the gnomes. "As for the ogres, they would have killed us if we didn't kill them. Especially the female once she learned that her mate was gone. What would you do if you learned that someone you cared about was killed by someone?"
Re: CH 4: Solanthus
"I have a feeling I know what that is like." He says darkly, glancing at her wounds. "Targin doesn't get the code, in a way, none of you do. But it is part of who I am. I have been trained the Gnomes are my allies, it was strange when they attacked."
"Come let us move on." He strokes her side for the briefest moment, before leading Galen on.
