CH 9: To the Walls of Pax Tharkas

[Jenara]

"No we are independent group. We became Separated." he rubs his mustache and looks at Tika. "I should have known it was a trap, but I was not in the lead." he looks at Laurana. "She was, and will be when she recovers."

"The resistance? What do you know of the recent events at the Inn of last home?" he ponders, Tika might know of the resistance.

[JadedDM]

"Inn of the Last Home?" Eben asks. "Oh, that's in Solace, right? I heard the whole town was burned to the ground, practically. A real shame, I heard it was a beautiful place. But that's all the more reason to do what we can to take these bastards down." He frowns. "Although I guess I'm not much use without my men. Hey, what are you guys doing out here, anyway? This close to the elflands is dangerous nowadays. They'll shoot at any human who gets too close, regardless of what side they're on."

[Jerrard]

"That's not quite true, we just came through Elvenwood." Looking around for Tika he stops seeing her. "Excuse a moment, I have to discuss something with one of my collegues." He turns away taking Tika by the arm.

"Tika, two things, we have to get Laurana and Goldmoon healed, and what do you know of 'The Resistance'?" He smiles, "I know I'm rigid, I have spent years training in the Code and the Measure. It tells me how to act, if I would have my way you and Laurana would never been up the front." He blushes. "But, perhaps. When she recovers, I will follow her, she is a Princess."

[HorizonsDream]

Tika is just finishing picking the last bit of coin and gems when she looks up to Sturm. "...Actually, she isn't a princess anymore," she points out. "But okay,," she says, glancing over to Caramon. "And I haven't heard anything about a resistance. This is news to me."

[Jerrard]

"She has Royal Blood, the measure is clear." He smiles, "Come, lets move them to a safe spot, Tas is injured, could you manage point?"

[HorizonsDream]

"Sturm, do you plan on carrying Goldmoon and Laurana?" Tika asks curiously. "As I see it, we aren't going anywhere while those two are out."

[Jerrard]

"We are exposed here, we need to move them to somewhere more secure at least." He looks around, "Those trees to the North, at least there is some cover there."

(Two trees to the north, assume there is vegetation behind.)

[HorizonsDream]

"Over there by that log?" Tika asks. "That seems good enough. I assume Riverwind will take care of Goldmoon. Caramon, will you carry Laurana over there?" she asks the bigger man.

[Jerrard]

"I assume so yes, now would be a good time to make some torches, would it not?"

[JadedDM]

"Need torches?" Eben asks, approaching and overhearing. "I got some. A few flasks of oil, too--although my lantern was destroyed in the battle. So what do you all need torches for?" he asks. "Not going to burn these bodies, are you? The smoke would probably attract a lot of attention."

[HorizonsDream]

"We were heading towards this...well it was described to be as a crypt," Tika says. "Which means we are probably going to be underground or something, so we are going to need some light."

[Nuke]

Riverwind continues to care for Goldmoon, ignoring Sturm's orders. He is unwilling to leave her side. He mutters to himself. "All this bloodshed, and loss of life, for what. Damn that dragon horde."

[Jenara]

"She know the way." Magpie chimes in, hugging the unconscious Laurana, "She lead us to big hole in ground, hole lead us to Bosses."

[Jerrard]

"Yes Magpie she will." Sturm strokes her head, and leans down beside Riverwind. "My friend." He starts. "I am not Tanis, I know this, but Tanis is not here, I am. We need to get Goldmoon somewhere safe, so she can be well again, and then she has to help Laurana, without them we have no chance to stop this Hoarde." He speaks slow and calm.

"You want to save her, you must trust me." With that he stands and looks to the others. "Lets make camp near those trees, watch suggestions would be appreciated. We need to get back on our feet as soon as possible."

"Thank you Eben, your torches would be good, we appear to be facing the same enemy." He adds.

"Sure," Eben says. "Glad to help. After all, you guys saved my life. But where are we going? Something about a crypt and a horde?" He picks up Goldmoon's dropped sling and staff, as well as Laurana's dropped bow and sword, in order to make himself useful.
