Yes, with a ranger and a woodsman, any animosity between the animals can be handled. I just wanted to show that Babushka is feeling comfortable and useful again, doing her share in the preparation before setting out.

That's a pretty good description of Jerrard. Seeing Locky and Babuskha naked in the Caves was his first time! He spent his life looking at books, not women. Jerrard

Do you remember the very first spell he ever used in the game? Mordenkainen's Lubrication? Yeah, that turned out to be a real defining moment of his characterization, who knew? :D

He's an innocent, just like Thuskar described, why he acts the way he does around Malika.

To JadedDM,
RE: Your last post in game.

I was just waiting for the plot to advance enough for a reclusive woodsman to have reason to say or do something.

Yours sincerely,
Agamotto the Mystic, Keeper of the Balance of Urak.

I simply forgot - Jerrard.

I was waiting for you to sort of say Locky and Babs had entered the inn again

As always, it may be worthwhile before departing for everyone to go through their inventories and decide what they will carry, what their henchmen will carry, what their mounts or beasts of burden will carry, what will be discarded or sold, and so forth. Also, don't forget the stuff that was stored on the ship and is now in Babushka's room; surely you don't wish to leave it behind.

Remember, the faster the party's movement rate, the faster they can get through the forest.

Currently, here is everyone's movement rate:
Locky: 2
Babushka: 6
Ulster: 8
Jerrard: 6
Thuskar: 6
Imani: 8
Malika: 12
Jeremy: 8
Aleaha: 12

Dekker: 6 without Babushka, 3 while Babushka is riding him
Artemis: 18 without Imani, 9 while Imani is riding her
Jeremy's donkey: 6 without Jeremy, 3 while Jeremy is riding it
Lanae: 12 without Jerrard, 4 while Jerrard is riding him
Haera and Ilvain: 6 without riders, 6 while Babushka is riding, 3 while Locky is riding

I'm sure these numbers will change once you guys decide how to distribute your gear more evenly.

Babushka will wear her "normal" clothes again and fashion part of the desert clothes into bandages, they might be needed.

We should move some of the hay and the waterskins from Dekker to the ponies. But most important is to get Locky out of her encumberance, I guess.

I swapped Babushka's clothes and turned her robes into bandages.

Note that transferring any items over to Lanae or the two ponies will require saddle bags.

As for Locky, that magical armor is 20 pounds alone. We can either move it to one of the beasts of burden or let one of the stronger characters carry it for her. (Note, magical armor's weight is not counted toward encumbrance while worn. Thus, if either Locky or Babushka want to wear the armor until the party can sell it, that is also an option.)

Babushka will then wear the armor. The penalties for dual-wielding are acceptable for the time being, I guess. I haven't used Hide in Shadows or Move Silently a lot either, so I think that'll work.

It would probably be better if Locky does, and imagine a Kender in Chain mail, would be funny. Malika has better skills than locky anyway, and in a forest Babs would be better off using her skills.

We'll review our stuff and come back to you this evening.
