Mortimer, Monk
Mortimer, after wandering the street of Waterdeep for hours with no luck finding a clue about Sally, finally settles on the Wandering Wemic for the evening. Entering the common area, he selects a seat at the bar near the back. Waiting for service, he asks for a glass of wine. "White wine my good man." He takes in his surroundings with a practiced eye, sizing up the clientele. When the barkeep returns, he asks, "What's on the menu tonight?" as he fishes out some coin.

Looking to Xiindor, Egewulf says "Would you like to examine their quarters... so we might get an idea about who these two are? I'll stay with them until the Watch arrives or we can determine what happened ourselves. I'd start with the one on the far end."

As the spell is lifted, Vrunar shakes his head. He looks at Turic and says, "What happened? What are we doing here?" Then he remembers the sounds of battle he heard before and quickly runs back to Thavin's room calling Turic to follow.
As he enters the room and sees Navi on the floor, near by a demonic creature he quickly kneels beside her checking her vitals. "Come back to us." he shakes her slowly. Feeling her weak pulse he gently lay his hands on her, one hand around her neck, the other on her chest. He closes his eyes and concentrates.
'Oh mighty Bahamut. Aloof of the dragons, best of character, holy instructor of justice and mercy, I've failed to protect the people close to me, charmed by lust of flesh. Please help me restore this woman health back so my failure won't be complete and I'll be able to redeem myself in my future deeds.' he says under his breath.
After treating Navi as best as he can, he checks also the vitals of the demon. "I felt something was wrong about her... If only I knew better to uncover her illusions." he looks at the newcomers planning to bound the creature and Navi. "Who are you?" he asks while offering his help bounding the creature with a gesture, and keeping them from bounding Navi with another gesture of his hands.
================================================================
(OOC: Vrunar uses his lay hands ability on Navi to restore 6 hp. If he can see she is safe, and the creature needs healing too, he will lay hands on her too for 6 hp after it is bound. If he will see that without healing, Navi will die he will use more 6 hp on Navi and cast cure spell on the creature in the next round)

"Just patrons concerned with their safety and the safety others. You can vouch for this one?" Egewulf asks gesturing to the elf. "One of them was lying when we first approached and we did not know which to trust. Egewulf is my name."

"What... What..?" Wincing in pain she holds her head tightly. "Vrunar.. The spell?" tearing off a sleeve she wipes the blood from her eyes, attempting to focus on the Hall around her..
"She sure had spunk.." Grinning she stands as best as her wounds allow, ""My name is NaldarĂvĂ« Tirrel. Most people call me Navi." Looking at Kata with a frown she limps over, "Tie her up, all we can do.. I could get her to talk... She's... I almost want to say she's a Demon, but I don't know."

Navi is healed to 4hp damage. The nonlethal damage is restored.
Kata is currently disabled with 0 hit points, conscious but unable to act without further injury and risk of death.
There is a lot of murmuring and discussion among the crowd of patrons starting to gather in the hallway.

Mortimer the Monk
Mortimer is unable to get service as the staff appear to be preoccupied with some sort of disturbance occurring upstairs. The proprietor is visibly red-faced and agitated, and is gathering the larger members of his staff together. He is handing out clubs to his employees.
((sorry for the holdup... was without internet for most of the day...))

Xiindor eyes up the winged creature that once was human, now not so much. [*I do not trust this one at all, maybe we should dispatch this one before she has a chance to harm anyone else. ]. Xiindor grabs for her mace and smile at the the creature lying on the floor.

After binding Kata Vrunar says to Egewulf. "Thanks for your help. I'm Vrunar. Things here are complicated to begin with and becoming more complex at every passing minute. Could you please hold the crowd off, let the proprietor in and close the door?" Vrunar himself drags bounded Kata and seats her leaning on a wall, then throws a blanket over her exposed quiet sensual body. He looks at Navi, "Is this Kata or someone imposed to her? If that's not Kata, then she is missing too." Looking at the proprietor he straighten up holds his hand forward in a calming manner and say, "Look, I'm sure you are troubled. The church will compensate for any lose you suffer. This creature's attack is a singular to the previous inhabitants of this room and would not occur again. We still need the room to investigate farther and ensure the safety of everyone around here. You can calm yourself and the other patrons outside. Everything is under control."

"I... I never met Kata, I just know of her." Looking at the figure on the floor she frowns, rubbing her head, "Fey'ri, she is Fey'ri...?" After a few moments of shock she pulls herself up and faces the group. "She is not to be harmed, keep her bound, and keep her unconscious for now."
Smiling sweetly she faces the owner as well, "Good Sir, my friend speaks the truth, she will not harm anyone else, I will see to it personally." Reaching into a pouch on her belt she produces a handful of coins and a small golden ring. "I trust we can come to some arrangement." She flashes the ring (anyone getting looking sees the attached below, except there is a small D on the side).
"As my friend said, this is a matter of some importance to many religions, they will be more than happy to ensure you are suitably compensated." Grinning she grasps the nearest wall, a small grey cat appearing at her feet. "The room will be paid for, any damage repaired, we need to check the room, and she will be moved to a secure location."

After conversing with the proprietor, Vrunar focuses of Egewulf and his company.
"Thanks for the help. Honest help is always welcome." he says, but his features stays cold.
"So you said you were caring patrons? If that is all, we can take it from here."
======================================================================
(OOC: Sorry for the cold gratitude and welcome but I just role-play the scene

. Currently Vrunar suspects everyone especially after Kata's attack, and obviously isn't eager to add people on the matters under investigation. But he did say
Vrunar wrote:... Honest help is always welcome ...
so there is an opening...

Vrunar raises an eyebrow at Navi's statement. "Huh? Whom are you talking about?" Then he figures it might be after-shock from the battle or maybe the effect of some poison that causes her hallucinations. He quickly steps back near her asking if she is OK and looking for any signs of fever or infected scratches on her skin.

Raising her eyebrows Navi frowns, "Them." She looks at Xiindor and Egewulf, "They should stay, for now at least."

[Oh, we have no intentions of leaving. Looks like you all need a lot of help in multiple ways, you have peaked my interest and the winged creature especially intrigues me. I will keep a close eye on her from now on .*]. Xiindor smirks from the corner of her mouth.

Mortimer, Monk
Mortimer's server finally returns with his drink... "I am sorry sir. The Wemic does not serve meals only drinks and refreshments. Cheth the owner could recommend several fine places for a meal. However he is preoccupied with some troublesome guests upstairs at the moment."
Mortimer notices that the clientele appears to moderately well off types, merchants, professionals, minor nobles, etc.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bound and helpless against the wall, Kata glares at the group with a mixture of contempt, disgust, and amusement. "So, I am to be your captive now? I understand your desire to keep me close Vrunar. Does the thought of having me in chains excite you? Ohh, it excites me Vrunar. Certainly you, Turic, and Egewulf here will have plans to punish me will you not. So, where is the little dungeon that you plan to keep me in?" Kata asks playfully...
Turning her attention to Xiindor, she continues "We've met your kind before. He had the most beautiful screams and wails as he was broken. Now, he eagerly wails for the master in his bedchambers. I wonder when the time comes if your wails will be so deliciously sweet?"
Kata then speaks to Navi in elven. "Don't be foolish enough to put your faith in ones such as these little sister. They are weak both in will and flesh. Nothing more than chattel for the amusement of our kind. They shall fall before that which you face and you shall with them."
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cheth Thanion leaves his group outside the door. The Wemic's owner is visibly furious, redfaced and spitting while he shouts. "What is this, demons and devils? Not only have my guests been disturbed all night and morning, but you've summoned fiends into my establishment!"
