Ok, looks like the group is taking a short rest so anyone may spend remaining hit die (or dice)..
Would someone give me a single 1d12 roll, please?

I jumped on the Short Rest, cause Vic is spent. Unfortunately he does not get anything back on a Short Rest.

The druid joins Vic, nods Vic and says, "You have a strong team. You fought well!"

Luka
Since Luka is uninjured he wall walk around talking to each member of the group and keep eyes open for more goblins.
During this time he will retrieve his arrows and keep his eyes open for a captured short sword if there is one. He will alsospeak to the Dwarf and see if he is interested in the 2 hand axes he was given.
Unbar is it? I am Luka. I was give these 2 hand axes by a woman in Nightstone. Do you have any interest in them? Or possibly Val? I am better with fast piercing weapons so I carry them but they are not much use to me. If you can use them then you may have them both.
Does anyone know what happened in Nightstone? The place was smashed by something. Giant holes everywhere. Have you found the villagers anywhere in here? Or has the Goblin King killed them all?
============
[1d20+2]=19+2=21 Search
[2d4+2]=6+2=8 arrows
While others rest Luka will also drag the dead goblin from the entrance and take his arrows, and search him. Keeping an eye out o all the dead goblins for a short sword.

Re: Chapter 2A - A Jaunt Into The Country
"Aye, if you have no need of them, I'll gladly take an axe or two." He settles into a comfortable position as he talks to the newcomer. "As for why we haven't returned yet.. well you saw Nightstone. Things got... complicated." He sighs and continues "What happened in Nightstone doesn't make any sense. Floating castles or something and bombardment from the air. I don't know if the subsequent goblin and orc attack was merely the local tribes making the most of an opportunity or part of something larger. The villagers fled, nobody can blame them for that, it complicates the mission though. Hard to negotiate a truce when one side is missing." He glances at the forest elf and continues "Not sure what to make of the fact we haven't seen hide nor hair of his kin. Something like this going down in their woods isn't likely to be missed by them from what I hear. I've no judgement on that, just interested in the knowing of the facts of whats going on." He ponders for a minute and continues, sounding more like he is just thinking aloud "To be honest, this might be a way to bring the forest folk and the villagers to a common ground. Perhaps there is something we can build on here. We just need to find the damn villagers first!"

Luka
I will gladly part with these two axes. They were given to me by a woman named Kella in Nightstone. The inn keeper, Kella stated they belonged to someone by the name of Xolkin but he no longer needed them. But I am not to good with them so I will stick to my bow and Short sword. Maybe I will track down another and us one in each hand. Maybe we will find one on a goblin. But the bow is my weapon of choice, why wade into combat when you can pick them off from the shadows. Here they are yours.

Two hand axes removed from Inventory.

Anyone that has juat gained a level can still spend the extra HD.
Any number of unspent HD can be used during a single short rest (and don't have to be declared up font).

While the group take a short rest Isaril gunts and snuffles at the badger who responds in kind. After scratching it affectionately behind the ear he shows the animal to the mouth of the cavern, ensuring that it doesn't fall into the pit. It runs off and disappears into the forest.

Vic will agree with Unbar. "Do we risk going deeper in the shape we are in?"

Luka
While everyone rests Luka will drag all the bodies into the area close to the mud pit and lay all their weapons in a pile including the dead goblin from outside and the Worg.
Anyone know how to skin a Worg? Would be a cool pelt to have and make a cloak from. If no one does then Luka will give it a try and see how it comes out. While doing this he hears Vic asking about continuing.
I could scout the rest of the cave and see what is here. I can move through quick and quietly so most things won't even know I have passed. That is why my friends back home call me "Shadow". Up to the group I don't mind.
======================
Can we get a total of all the weapons and what we have?
Any Goblin Coin?
And what you need for a successful skinning job on the Worg?

Vic's eyes light up.
"That would be fantastic. As much as I love my tin cans, it would be nice to have some advance notice of what we are walking into."

"Luka, go ahead an look around while we rest. Once we are done resting we should look to get out of hear and find those villagers."
Re: Chapter 2A - A Jaunt Into The Country
Isaril comments, "Well, from the villagers' tracks they came into this cavern and stayed."
The foraging accumulates forteen ugly-looking scimitars, three shortswords, two tree trunks, six daggers, five clubs, nine shorbows, a broken shortbow, five javelins and forty nine arrows.

Someone proficient with a relevant toolset can add their proficiency bonus to relevant skill check to skin the wolf in an hour or so.
The default skill to skin the wolf is Survival, but if you have proficiency in a relevant toolset then you may choose that instead if you prefer.
I'm happy to be flexible on the toolset.
Not having neither relevant tools nor proficiency in a relevant toolset imposes disadvantage on the skill check.
Proficiency in a relevant toolset and possesing the relevant toolset gains advantage on the skill check.
