"Or would you like us to wait?" Angel asks, pulling the towel tight to her body. "I know you do not want to be here either."

"She'll stay here," Hiric says. "You two can go off and do whatever pleases you."

"But do not be gone long, Gallius" Fraso adds. "After all, you and that priest are supposed to be working as my bodyguards, and he's already off to who-knows where." Fraso's voice is clear enough that Angel can hear a bit of bratty whining in it beneath the layer of imperiousness. After several days of his every utterance being hard to follow, the clarity is striking.

=============================================

As Elias sits sketching, a woman in a dark chiton leans up against the wall he is sitting on. She's tough-looking, with the kind of skin that only years of living rough can give you. She may have been pretty once, long ago. "You came in with Mad Maughus, didn't you?" she asks.

"My Lord, if I felt you were in danger here, I would stick by your side every moment." She blushes, pulling the towel around her tightly. "But this place appears safe, if you need me, I will be there." She rises, taking Liri's hand.

"Bastian." She says with a bow, heading to collect her clothes.

Elias folds a finger into his sketch book and looks up at the woman.

"I did."

Fraso merely "Hmmphs" and sinks back in the warm water.

==============================================

"I heard he was in town. Knew him back in the day. He was a good soldier," the woman says.

"Let us get dressed, would accompany me to the Bar?" She asks Liri as she walks away from Fraso.

"Yes, let's get dressed and find some food" Liri agrees.

(OOC: Have their clothes been washed in the meantime, or was it just a suggestion from the bath servants? Then Liri's next move would be to get her spare clothes to the laundry, to have something presentable for Daos's burial tomorrow)

Elias frowns at the woman.

"Oh?"

(Ooc: If their clothes haven't been washed yet she will change to something spare (she has three changes overall)

"Have you noticed? Concentrating on Master Fraso is less difficult right now..." Angel comments as they walk away.

Liri looks a little surprised. "No, I haven't noticed. You see, he seemed to be part of the enigma of the strange body, and not part of the answer, so I was looking for clues elsewhere. I've hardly ever talked or listened to him."

"I have. We all had problems concentrating, I couldn't find Fraso, I wanted to.. But I couldn't.. Now I can see him, concentrate on him.. I wish I knew what it meant." Still holding Liri's hand she looks back...

"There is something about him, I am just not..." She giggles, Smart enough."

Hearing the whine in Fraso's voice, Bastian gets a self-satisfied smirk. He nods to Angel and says, "Again, you are wet in my presence!" He follows that comment with a conspiratorial wink.

Before any reply or response can be made, he turns and looks to Fraso. What other plans are there for today? I don't imagine too much research can be made in a town like this. Perhaps information gathering from across a chosen pint with some de-coms?" ((OOC: Decommissioned soldiers))

"Tragic, really," the woman says to Elias. "Buy me a drink and I'll tell you the story. Buy me a drink and a meal and I'll even tell you the truth."

========================================

Fraso turns to Bastian and says: "We need to send word to the MageGuild. I understand that the Guild is represented here in town - just a single mage, but he should be able to get a message to the Guild in Rauxes through official channels.
"After that, I believe we can relax for a day or two while we await instructions. I expect that they'll direct us to continue on to Eastfair, as before, but who knows?"

==========================================

The laundry has not yet returned, but simple cotton chitons are available, for a small deposit.

Angel obtains two cotton chitons, one for herself and one for Liri, slipping one on she lowers the towel, keeping her back to Liri, before sliding the other other the Elfs shoulders.

"Here my dear." She says with a smile, still thinking of Bastians comment, "Shall we?" She asks offering her hand.. "I thought I might buy a dress.. For the funeral."

"A dress... it's been a while that I have worn one. A nice idea in principle, but wouldn't it be a burden on the road? Being rolled up in a backpack most of the time tends to ruin them, that's why I don't have any with me. And I couldn't buy any, I just have a small amount of money to cover travel expenses, buying a nice dress is not included." Liri smiles thoughtfully.
"Besides, you were Daos's companion as a soldier, so it seems fitting to me that you see him to his final rest as a soldier.
Not that I wouldn't like to see you in a dress"
she adds.

(OOC: we haven't set money when Liri's character sheet was created, but I guess what I've said above fits)
