"Stable? Ha! He's as stable as a chair with one short leg. But he's reliable, in his own way. Loyal. I don't know how he'll react. It depends on his mood, I suppose. But I am sure he will tell you more than you want to know.

"Oh why not. I haven't got anything better to do," Elias says.

The meal concludes with the woman picking her plate completely clean, then rising and heading out of the illicit outdoor tavern and away from the market square. "I know a man," she says, "who has access to the best Caronne Black this side of the capital, if you have the coin."

Eldon had sat in the bar for a few hours, his coin was low, barely able to afford a single drink, he spent his time watching Ribi and the newcomer closely. She'd already failed to fleece him of his purse, and now she was trying another? Shaking his head he nursed his pint making it last.

Following them quietly as they leave, thoughts of just letting the Giorgio to his fate crossed his mind, but something told him he would be better served helping.

Flipping back his black hair he strides up to the woman, placing a dagger against her back. "Ribi my dear, have you grown tired of me, and chose to find another mark?" He laughs loudly, making a show of his humor, "Perhaps you should leave the Giorgio alone and go play with someone else."

"Has she been troubling you?" Eldon asks, flipping back his hair once more, the blonde streak clearly visible.

Elias takes a step back from the other two.

"Perhaps I should leave you to it Giorgio, you'll find out what our Ribi is like soon enough." Eldon flips back his black hair and shrugs, he didn't trust these Giorgio's. Damn, he was one of them.

"We have crossed paths yes." eldon sneers at the woman. "She'll give you many things. If the price is right."

(Posted by Jerrard on Jen's phone.)

"Best you sheath your blade, High-and-mighty, before I call for the constables." Ribi says to Eldon, then turns back to Elias. "Pay no attention to this one. He's young and foolish."

"Fine." Eldon sheaves the blade, giving Ribi a evil glance. "Ok fella, if you get fed up getting taken for a ride I'll be in the Merc Bar. Just ask for Eldon." With that he turns from the pair, pausing only to say "I doubt you'll have a copper left when she is finished." with that he heads off.

"I think I can handle myself," Elias says.

(OOC- I assume that you (stik) roll my checks to notice this lady stealing in secrete. Would I know if she'd been trying to fleece me and failed?)

(There are more ways to fleece someone than picking snakes!)

[OOC] Pick pockets checks are rolled by the thief. I have to look up the mechanics of noticing the attempt, but it is related to the success of the thief's roll.
In any case, Elias didn't notice any attempt at thievery, because there hasn't been one. Like Jen said (or perhaps it was Jerrard, using Jen's wireless) there are other ways to rob someone than swiping their stuff. One way is to stick them with the bill for something very expensive...[/OOC]

OOC- Right. Just checking.

"I repeat my previous question," Elias says to Ribi. "How much are we talking here for this drink of yours?"
