Re: Act 2, Scene 2: "To Crush the Wetrocks" (Main Game Thread)
Upon seeing the Pech, Findalsip visibly relaxes and shows amazement upon the Pech‘s moving into view. He does somewhat wrinkle his face at the news of no gemstones in the area. He mentally calculates that the dwarves must have found them and probably mangled the stones mining out this place they once called home. That hurts his little Gnomish heart a twinge. As Eben last addressed the elf he waits for Nocturno to respond before saying more.

Seeing Fin relax a bit after the creature steps out, Nocturno will be partial truthful.
"We are here searching for artifacts that will help us stop the rise of Ossunin."

Bull
Happy to have been able to squeeze his way into the lower levels. Stops at the Orb and stretches out drawing his Giant Two Handed Sword and waits by the Orb.
"I will guard the hall and Orb. Nothing will get through here with out tasting my blade. Just make sure that if anyone finds any plaid material that I am shown the pattern. This could be the lair of the ones who killed my mentor."

At Bull's remarks, FIndalsip looks at the Pech then turns to look at Bull then back to Eben, "That would be my fellow adventurer, Bull. I don't quite understand him yet. He has proven useful. Pretty much a good geode. By the way have you seen any "plaid"? " Findalsip gives a puzzled look as he is not familiar with whatever plaid is.

Bull
Well I should explain. When my mentor was killed, I searched and found that a piece of Plaid fabric from a kilt or shirt was caught on the blade of his axe as it had torn it away from his attacker. It is a thick fabric with crossing lines and different colors, making up an odd kind of checker board squares pattern. So you see I am looking for his killers and this was the only lead I could find. A stripe of cloth from who knows what.

“That sounds like it is not at all effective for hiding in one’s surroundings. How does one go about avoiding the gaze of those that wish you harm? Sounds like some piss drunk seamstress’ idea. Oh well, Eben, have you seen anything like that?” Findalsip casually remarks.

Ossunin... hmm... not know that one. Eben replies in broken common. What creature is it? Strong need for come here...
The Pech seems a little uneasy at first when Bullock appears, perhaps due to the reputation Minotaur have in this area. The spindly creature seems to take Bull's words and Fin's endorsement as sufficient to continue. The little man nods at the explanation about the plaid. Yes, Silverbeard folk much pride for Tartan... Kept... emm.. record.
Still obviously struggling a little with the common he elaborates to Fin in Undercommon. There is a hall of records at the entrance to the town hall; the building you must have entered to come here. In that place they kept copies of every clan's pattern and their names; even the patterns of enemies so they might be identified on sight. If it exists anywhere, it is there.

Matter of factly.
"Yes quite powerful, and I think that is the key part of what we need." Nocturno will point to the orb.

Eben looks at the statuette encased in amber thoughtfully. One piece but many need, and... spell, or... he shakes his head, not recalling the proper word. And more knowing. How and where... I do not know all parts. Secret it was, even Silverbeard not know.
Re: Act 2, Scene 2: "To Crush the Wetrocks" (Main Game Thread)
Does he have the list? Or is it here at least?
"We have a list. And some knowledge." He looks to Fin to help translate if necessary.

Findalsip translates as best he can between the parties. “The group of adventurers have a noble purpose it seems. My understanding is they want to stop some big evil. Any help you are willing to give I believe would have them in your debt. Mine as well. Additionally, if you have kin with you, my kin would be happy to establish trade with you and them.”

Re: Act 2, Scene 2: "To Crush the Wetrocks" (Main Game Thread)
[Ooc] He is basically saying he doesnt know all the parts or how to put it together, and neither did the Dwarves. He is asking if your group does since you are looking for this piece. [/ooc]
You know all parts? And how together fitting? He asks Nocturno.
To Fin he says We are always content to share earth with your people; especially those that value the ways of the Rocktender. There are some two-dozen or so of us scattered about. Of our charge to guardian this splinter of the artifact were to be completed, then we would be free to go.
He ponders, How think you that one might release such a prize from it's containment?

"We have an idea. Some notes. Do you know of any more knowledge on this?"
He will produce the journal if it is present.
"We would appreciate any help to our cause."

Re: Act 2, Scene 2: "To Crush the Wetrocks" (Main Game Thread)
Eben looks over the journal, his face scrunched in concentration. He looks back to the tunnel and calls out in that gravelly voice. Slowly another figure emerges, long of limb with broad hands and feet. A second Pech with darker red hair and a brownish tint to his stony flesh ambles to where Eben is. This Halvard. He know your speaking.
The newcomer scans the group and raises a broad hand in greeting. A few brief words pass between the two before he addresses the party. So... someone has finally come for this splinter of the artifact... Hmm... Greetings, I am Halvard, meaning "Guardian of the Rock." And your names? He asks patiently

"Nocturno of Oakwood." He will say undeniably less patiently.
