Okay, I'll take one crack at this, but I think I only need one. The common thread is that each songs mentions a .44 'piece'.
"staring straight down a .44", "hearbreakers, with your .44", and so on.

Re: Music Game - Totally off topic
Yeah, I figured the answer had to come by listening to all three songs, but I just couldn't bring myself to listen to all thirteen minutes of Frampton's "Do You Feel Like We Do" for the 100th time in my life. Great song, but I JUST, COULDN'T, DO, IT!! Maybe in another five, ten year...

Re: Ranked by treasure
Has there ever been an attempt to rank official monsters from "those that give more treasure" to "those that give less treasure"? And I don't know if I should really do it, considering I am still rearranging the same encyclopedia into categories (undead on one side, steeds on ot...

Re: Music Game - Totally off topic
Here in the Pacific Northwest there is a classic rock station, KZOK, that was doing the contest up until about five years or so ago. They actually narrowed what the common thread could always be down to one of three possibilities: subject matter of the song, something all three performers have in co...

I check in on my desktop mostly, but about 35% of the time I do use my phone while on break.

Re: Speak with dead, Compels the truth or not (1e or 2e focused)
Since the creature is dead (and the spell isn't really restoring life, merely causing some functions to occur), I would say it essentially has no intelligence and therefore couldn't make the decision to lie. I was agreeing with you about this until reading the complete text for the spell for myself...

Re: Halloween
All I know is that if I had kids I would take the time to check their treats and prevent them from potentially ingesting crap like narcotics and razor blades. Of course people can take or leave the information as they see fit.

Re: Halloween
As a Halloween enthusiast it breaks my heart to post this, but even though I initially got some of the details wrong I knew I had seen a news teaser from one of the Seattle stations about tainted Halloween candy: https://komonews.com/news/local/oregon-mom-finds-pill-inside-packaged-halloween KOMO is...

Re: Halloween
I'm starting to believe my wife in that tainted treats is a urban myth, has it EVER happened? I've heard that same point of view that your wife has, and while I think tainted treats is something that has been greatly exaggerated since at least the early 80's, I do believe it has occurred; and, sadl...

Re: Halloween
There's a mall not far from my place, and I think most people nowadays just take their kids there, as all the stores will give out candy. It's warmer, bad weather isn't an issue, it's well lit, etc. So probably why I don't see many or even any trick o' treaters any more these days. Also, the parent...

Re: Halloween
Yeah Jaded, I did have a good Halloween, despite only having 8 Trick or Treaters. I thought that the lack of wind and rain would mean more Trick or Treaters. :? Glad I decided to take a year off of putting up the orange lights as few people were out. The highlight of the day was that I marched in ou...

Re: 42nd Anniversary of the term Jump the Shark
I too recall that episode from my younger years, and had purged it from memory until just now. Can I send you my therapist's bill? :D Fun Fact: The opposite of 'jumping the shark' (the specific point where a show's decline in quality can be easily observed as having started) is 'growing the beard' ...

42nd Anniversary of the term Jump the Shark
Just a quick post to commemorate the birthday genesis of the term 'Jump the shark' or jumping the shark. It was on this evening forty-two years ago that the infamous episode of Happy Days aired (actually titled 'Hollywood: Part Three'), where Fonzarelli accepts a dare to jump on water skis over a pe...
