Re: Check In Everyone!
I'm back. I finally returned to the table running my in-person game 2 months ago. This past Sunday was our 8th session and the players all hit level 2 this week with the exception of the Rogue who hit 3rd. I have spent the last 2 years diving deep into Castles & Crusades which I find to be what ...

Re: Mephs' 3D Printed Terrain & Minis
Oh and one more is Tribes by My Mini Factory. Many creators have moved away from Patreon and switched to tribes. Same concept, you pay a small fee ($5-15 per month) and you get the minis or terrain that they create every month. The bonus with Tribes is that anything you get goes into your library fo...

Re: Mephs' 3D Printed Terrain & Minis
Ok i'll break it down to a few things...first, don't connect the printer to your pc. They all come with SD cards or USB thumb drives for a reason....if your computer resets, updates, crashes then you lose your print. All my printers are 50 feet away from my PC, I put all of my files on my SD cards a...

Re: Mephs' 3D Printed Terrain & Minis
I have been away from the forums for quite some time now but I am definitely still printing all the time. I have 6 printers going these days, I just cannot keep up with painting anymore even with my 14 year old daughter helping. Here is just a tiny fraction of the stuff I printed up during covid. ht...

Re: Gaming Kickstarters ... a light conversation
I would be VERY wary of that kickstarter. Look at the company. They have had 8 campaigns, the last one they started after the pandemic started. It reached it's funding goal but not what they hoped so they cancelled it. I don't know the details behind this one but read the comments. Lot of people hav...

Re: Gaming Kickstarters ... a light conversation
Just for an idea of the value, this is the FDG one that is about to end. My $90 all-in pledge gets me EVERYTHING on the page except for the add-ons at the bottom. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/fatdragongames/vallis-mortis?ref=user_menu On a smaller scale this one by Dark Forge Realms is only ...

Re: Gaming Kickstarters ... a light conversation
I have backed about 20 of them so far and been happy with every one so far. Most of my have been Kobold Press 5E stuff, Printable Scenery, EC3D, Fat Dragon Games, and other various 3d printing kickstarters.

Re: What Generation Are You In?
I would have thought Gen X would be leading also considering the name of the forum is Planet AD&D! Honestly it's a really small sample here though. If you go on Dragonsfoot I bet the majority will be Gen X and Boomers. If you go on ENWorld the majority will be Millennials and Zoomers. Facebook a...

Re: New D&D Gaming Room For All! (play live)
Nice....you could have made my life much easier when I ran Wave Echo Cavern. I made ever room and hall into a numbered layer, printed a map and numbered them for behind my screen and then unclicked each "fog of war" layer as the players explored. It worked fine but it was a bit of prep wor...

Re: New D&D Gaming Room For All! (play live)
Very cool. Is there a reason it's limited to 12 locations? Just on that map you showed alone the DM could possibly mark out 40 locations if he so desired. It looks to be coming along great though. Nice job.

Re: New D&D Gaming Room For All! (play live)
I only mentioned Zoom because these days, with everyone going online I have read a lot of people saying how they dropped Discord and Skype for Zoom because of quality. I did a Zoom meeting the other day with 14 family members and it was awful, but I think a lot of issues were the size of the meeting...

Re: New D&D Gaming Room For All! (play live)
I have a few ideas if you are interested in them. Character Creation Rolls - You could have a macro that uses standard methods such as 3d6 and 4d6 drop lowest Next would be a manually fillable character sheet per player. Click on their name and they can fill in the blanks. On the main list it might ...
