Old D&D cartoon as live action

This is a Brazilian car commercial based on a cartoon (and later a board game) lots of us recall.
Could you imagine if this had become a movie?

Yeah that they are.

From what I have read it isn't based on the cartoon though.
Maybe they could do both?
