Karl stands torn, as a Gentleman he should wait for the last, but as a Warrior he knows the others will be going without his support.

"Sure." Mira responds, deciding that now wasnt the best time to discuss that she was 'no lady' instead she ushers the others forward. "Go on, I'll guard the rear, like the Good Knight said. Up you go!" Crossbow drawn she stands guard, waiting till the last.

Pyros sets off down the passage, trailed by Adrestia and Pytor while the others begin to ascend (first Sir Karl, then Jerry and Merrick, followed by Adran). Elsa, Mira, Cross and Artanis remain on the lower level for the moment (unless Mira wants to go up as well?). I wonder how much room is up there... the cleric muses.
The Kender proceeds, finding that the passage widens and turns before leading to a chamber at the end. A smooth stone slab blocks the view into the heart of the room ahead. The skeletal remains of a humanoid hang from chains on the east side of the room and a manacled rotting body is suspended to the west. The air smells of death and decay, but the buzzing of insects one might expect in such a place is noticeably absent. A sense of dread hangs over this place.

Talking to Merrick and whoever else is listening Jerry warns, "Be wary: undeath seems to be a feature around here!" as her metaphorical undead-sensing antenae extend.
She checks her holy symbol, readies her mace and then advances beside Merrick whilst peering around for undead threats.

Adran will keep his staff at the ready and start to look around from where he stands near the group into the darker corners and ceiling to see if anything is lurking....

Pyros hangs a left along the wall sneaky sneaky like.
He looks at the floor. Thinking of the other room and the pit be fell in. Slowly moving, checking the floor with his hoopak.

Jerry can tell from here that the skeleton and the body chained to the wall in the chamber ahead are in-tact enough to be suitable for raising as undead.
Adran peers into the dark spaces at the corners and above, but sees nothing additional that is concerning.
Pyros creeps into the room, sneaking along the left side. As soon as he enters, he realizes that there are many other such bodies manacled to the wall in narrow alcoves. 4 of them appear to be rotting still, while the other 4 are in a completely skeletal state. Tapping the floor with his hoopak, it feels solid enough, and no debris conceals the hard stone from his view. Gradually he makes his way around until he can see the far side of the tall stone slab in the center...
The broken figure of a human woman is stretched out upon the stone slab. She is held in place by iron bands around her neck, wrists, and ankles which are spiked into place on the slab. Although she may once have been quite lovely, she shows every indication of having starved to death here...

Jerry warns, "These dead are very likely undead!"
Never being one to suffer undead, she moves up beside the nearest undead candidate ready to thump it.

When he heard that the corpses were likely undead, Adran positioned himself at the entrance of the room so as to have a good view if and when they came to life....

Pyros will stop and give each corpse a good whack, as he passes. Continuing along the wall probing for traps.

Jerry moves into the room, prepared to strike one of the rotting corpses. Adran moves to the entrance as Pyros whacks one of the chained skeletons with his club...
Suddenly the skeleton moves! A cacophony of rattling metal chains fills the small room as the undead begin to draw the pins from the wall effortlessly, as if they were not truly fastened down!
