The diminutive pair of rogues descend and investigate the pit, soon reporting it too is barren of hidden secrets to their evaluation. Zafron joins them below and beats down any protruding poisoned pikes to ensure safe passage. After a short search he too is unable to find any hidden passages or traps.

Zafron pulls out his notes to review the riddle once again. "Based on the riddle we have found the two pits. We need to search the walls. ". "Not sure where we need to search. I think we need to search the area of the two pits and the area after the two pits. We have searched in the pits now we need to search the walls around the pits."

"Galan, can you fly around and search the ceiling and the walls around this area?" Zafron will start also search the walls help Galan with the search.

"Bryce and Tabbi go search that new door but don't open it yet. It doesn't appear to be part of the riddle."

"Van be prepared to get us out of a jam. I also wouldn't mine having some of those dried berries you always carry around. Make yourself useful and prepare us a snack. All this thinking is making me hungry."


Acererak's Riddle:

Two pits along the way will be found to lead We will find two pits in our path. We will need to check for traps
to a fortuitous fall, so check the wall. If we fall in the trap, we are in trouble. We might need to check the walls in the pits or around the pits.
These keys and those are most important of all, We must find this passage and it will lead us in the right direction
and beware of trembling hands and what will maul. Not sure what this means
If you find the false you find the true maybe a false door will lead us to the correct direction
and into the columned hall you'll come, This will be another hall
and there the throne that's key and keyed. this is the throne room with treasure

Tabbi and Bryce check the door, and indicate there are no traps that they can detect

"Oh dear, you are thinking again? I thought we set off a smoke trap! The two pits will lead to the fortuitous fall, maybe it is on the other side of the door. "

Galan flies above in the hall between the second pit and the following door and check carefully for signs of traps or hidden levers. "It seems we encountered about half of the full riddle description. And no one died! That's worth a drink and a song I believe." And Galan sings about old valor, glory and riddles solved.

Sooo... the door? Bryce asks

"Yes. Yes. The door." Galan answers.

(OOC: Was Galan search for hidden trap along the walls while flying fruitful?)

Galan searches along the walls as he flies over the pit, but finds no hidden or concealed doors in his cursory search.

Galan has no rogue ability to detect traps so anything not obvious would escape his notice anyway

"Maybe I missed understanding the riddle. I though we would find something here. I guess I'm incorrect. Bryce and Tabbi go search that next door for traps."

If no traps are found Zafron will pull the same trick with the rope from the last door. He will tie the rope around his waist and get his brothers to hold the rope so he doesn't fall if there is a pit on the other side.

Bryce and Tabbi indicate the door is clear and in short order Zafron forces the stuck door open. Beyond he discoveres is not exactly the same as the last section, for the hallway continues another 40 feet and turns to the right and out of sight.

"Maybe the riddle meant that now, after the two pits, we are lead to a greater fall..." Galan suggests. "So, keep the rope around your waist."

Zafron will search the floor in front of him for a pit just in case. If he finds nothing he will use the 10 pole to pock at the floor. If that doesn't do anything he will put one foot on the floor in front of the door while making sure the rope is tight and being held tightly by his brothers.

Zafron prods the floor with the 10 ft pole and like the many before, this one too opens up to reveal a 10 ft deep pit with metal spikes at the bottom.

Elves have a chance to find secret or hidden doors, yes, but not traps.

"Well there is another pit, this is endless. I'm going to hammer all the nails again. After that Bryce and Tabbi you can search this pit". "Van pass me your ladder once again."

"Well, you are trained by now so it will take no time." Galan jests. "But seriously, this is a motive in many traps. Repeating mechanism until your guards are down and then surprising with some crazy trap you wouldn't expect."
