Hoping to keep up the confusion among the goblins and worgs, Findalsip reaches into his pouch and pulls out his sleep caltrops. He has noticed the ranger making a retiring move and scatters the caltrops among the surrounding adversaries. He flings the trident around in order to get the 'mangy curs and acursed owners' to step on the caltrops and releases it to fly back into the western part of the cave.

[Ok, it has been almost a week so i'll go ahead and move this on]

Fin whirls the glowing trident about his head and flings it a dozen yards or so to the West into the dark of the cave! Taking advantage of the sudden change in lighting, he flings down his caltrops near the two Worgs before him. Just as he does so, a goblin spear sinks deep into his back; staggering him. Another blow like that and he too will be rendered unconscious!

The goblin worg rider considers Linar's proposal. The pair move to the corner and, seeing the situation, the goblin agrees. The situation looks quite dire for the party, but as motes of violet light begin to gather around the Drow's hands he barely notices the Forest Gnome as slips silently out of the water and half-crawls across the cavern floor! The rest of the combat doesn't seem to notice the diminutive Jordek creep blindly towards Nocturno! Completing his ritual, Linar drops the magical darkness in the center of the melee, with the unconscious High Elf's booted foot just outside the edge. Though he cannot see it, the Forest Gnome manages to fumble his way to Nocturno and begins a quiet prayer that is

The Fighter-cleric, Protector of Elvenkind wakes in total darkness!!! A small hand covers his mouth and a familiar voice whispers, You're making this a habit, mr Pincushion. We'll have to work on that. I can't see anything, but let's slip out of here while the others are fighting. He tugs the Elf's sleeve in an Easterly direction.

As the darkness falls across the melee, all of the combatants suddenly are blinded! Already badly injured, Katten calls to her pup and begins a fighting retreat. Despite the darkness she slaps the Worg across the face with her sword and cuts down the goblin behind Findalsip! The worgs and goblins in the dark screech obscenities and flail ineffectually at the group. Katten and Dran retreat Northwards out of the darkness and just beyond the torchlight.

Bullock follows Linar and the goblin as they prepare to move north...

With a sigh too loud for the situation. Nocturno gets his wits and will army crawl with the familiar voice in the direction indicated.

Linar says quielty, "Bullock, follow me. Try to keep up." and then turns to the 'friendly goblin', "We're friends If anything attacks you, I'll defend you. I suggest that if anything attacks me, you defend me. Keep behind me."

He then steps quietly with elven grace towards the darkness that enshrouds the combat zone. When five or ten foot ahead of the 'friendly goblin' Linar slowly and carefully draw his sword, smiling back over his shoulder to reassure the goblin and then continues silently forwards.

If nothing untoward happens, Linar retrieves his bow and continues towards the exit at a pace that Bullock (and perhaps Nocturno) can manage.
Otherwise, if foes attack Linar, he'll strike back (withdrawing north if possible). Conversely, if allies seek to do over 'friendly goblin', the dark elf will step in the way and say in elven "Leave him. He's enspelled and currently my friend."

When everyone's on the move northwards, Linar tells Bullock (and possibly Nocturno) to go ahead of him and follow the others outside. he then slowssomewhat to act as a rearguard. when more than sixty foot clear of the magical darkness the drow switches to bow, ready to perforate enemies that he can see but that can't see him.

Findalsip follows Katten's lead in retiring from melee moving through the dark slowly doing a fighting withdrawal. He makes his way to the exit in the north. His club at the ready.

Wanting to make himself a lesser target, Nocturno makes sure to sheath any weapons before standing.

Leaning on the Gnome's shoulder, he will get up and walk at a normal pace. Making sure not to get with-in striking distance of any foes.

Fin begins to move northward through the dark, club ready as he makes his way into the torchlight; keeping an eye on the magical black wall in front of him. Jordek leads Nocturno outside of the magical darkness and away from the enemies into the torchlight. Seeing Fin so banged up, he sends the injured Elf ahead and calls upon his holy power to heal most of Fin's wounds! Sounds of combat still roll out of the darkness as the goblins and worgs try to find their targets. A series of quiet POP-hiss sounds emerge and the Svirfneblin immediately identifies it as his crystal caltrops being ruptured! With the dark it is impossible to be certain, but it sounds like at least one creature has succumbed to the trap.

Linar tries to convince the goblin rider to follow and protect him. The Wetrock tribesman looks at him suspiciously and simply gestures for the dark elf to move on. Bullock follows Linar as well, causing the goblin to grimace and protests but the pair of adventurers continue on since he doesn't try to physically stop them yet... Katten and Dran make it to the exit as Nocturno, in as quick a staggering gait as he can manage, joins them. Linar and Bullock pass the two Gnomes in the light of Jordek's original torch and on into the dark.

The worg rider following Linar finally makes it past the darkness and sees the gnomes and others beginning to leave. Hey! Wut dis!? Dey no can go! Get back heere!! he shouts in Orcish. Just as he does so, one of the worgs moves out of the darkness and spots the illuminated gnomes! Rushing forward it prepares to attack Findalsip!! The rock-tender raises his club high and the instant the creature is in range he deals a well-aimed and deadly blow to the top of its head, dropping the injured canine lifeless to the ground!!!

The ensorcelled Worg rider shouts out in his native goblin and charges! Both the rider and Worg retaliate with vicious attacks, but the deep Gnome's new cloak proves once again protection enough!!

True to his word Linar does not try to shoot the charmed goblin but has no such compunction about the worg.

When Katten continues to depart, Linar says to Bullock, "Go with Katten, please, Bullock. get yourself safely outside."

After *moving he adds, "Hey! Goblin, friend, your money will be outside the cave. Or you can come and get it now."

OOC: *Just realised I didn't actually put in the arrow/move/arrow thing that elves can do. If it's ok, I'd like to add that in just to put sa bit more distance bwtween Linar and the Worg, but still maintianing line of sight so as to be able to support Findalsip's withdrawal.

Nocturno and Bullock make their way through the cave entrance and begin to climb up the wet and rocky slope and into daylight. Get 'em Nit! Sick 'em Wit! Jordek calls out to his simulacrum squirrels as he sprints for the rest of his party by the entrance. The tiny squirrels bound out of the dark at the Worg. Wit falls off, flat onto his back while Nit latches on with a death-grip! C'mon fin, let's get out of this doghouse! Fin backs carefully away from the Worg in front of him to the edge of the torchlight. The Svirfneblin draws upon his underdark training and suddenly his form grows blurry!

Whatever is happening in the darkness, only one additional Worg wanders out to spot the group fleeing. Badly damaged and seeing little to no allies nearby, it contents itself to growling at the party from afar. Arrows fly from the dark as the Ranger and the Drow take aim at the only other visible Worg near the torchlight. The goblin rider shakes in rage as they begin to fire at his mount. You no frien! You iz sneaksy skunk-butt!!! Me keelee gud!! As if to emphasize the remark, the worg manages to catch Nit's tail and flings him free; gobbling the clone down in a single bite! The enraged goblin boots his mount forward and stabs at Findalsip! The deep Gnome's new spell and cloak prove enough to keep him from harm! Linar lets another arrow fly and tags the Worg with a well-placed shot.
