Basically, I looked at your character's physical attributes; strength, dexterity, and constitution. They're all about average, though for a dwarf, they're a bit on the low side. I figured that you were so close to Grace that you were going to go straight down to the ground, pulling her with you (Since you were standing so close due to her "fidgeting" with her fingers). I gave you about a 50/50 shot considering that the two of you were similar height and weight. Yes, she was in shock and bound, but I've seen people like that get very "rubbery", so I nullified that. I did have her twist a bit as you pulled her down, so the arrow struck her in the center of the chest rather than the heart, so it's not an instantly fatal wound.
