The Sarcophagus Legion VI

Imani turns her attention to the group of men talking. She clears the throat before she gently enters into the conversation. "Forced to dance here?" she asked curiously.

Jerrard

Malika giggles playfully. "You must not have met any Mikku before then," she comments. She tilts her head and crosses her arms. "Or did you think all the peoples of Khur were the same? There are seven different tribes, after all. Khur is quite the melting pot, you know."

Imani

The ogre and two men share a look, before turning toward her and responding. "To make money," the first Khur explains.

"Better than stealing," the second man says. "All Mikku are thieves and scoundrels, as everyone knows."

[Jerrard]

"Frankly I hadn't given it much thought, how silly is that?" He smiles, leaning against the now closed door, "There is no reason why your lands would not be just like my own really, just with sand, lots of sand."

"I should go, many would think a man being in a ladies room is inappropriate." He semi turns, waiting to see what the response is. "However, you intrigue me Malika, you seem out of place here, like your talent surpasses a place such as this."

Imani frowned behind her veil. She was originally from that clan, so she knew how it worked with them. "They do what they have to, to survive," she says simply. "I did not realize the dancer here was from the Mikku."

Jerrard

"I'm sure I'm perfectly safe with such a gentleman," Malika says. Tilting her head again, she asks with a smile, "Or do you have more nefarious intentions? Perhaps you plan to use your magic to charm me, so I'll do anything you ask?" She moves closer. "You are a mage, yes? I can smell your components. But...you have the physique of a warrior instead," she adds, lightly running her fingers across his chest.

Quickly turning her back on him, she takes a few steps away, crossing her arms. "I think you're right, though. My talent is wasted here. But...I am stuck here." She turns again, facing him and smiles. "But I've always wanted to see the west. I've heard stories of your great cities and green forests." Her smile falters. Maybe...someday...I can see these wonders myself."

Imani

"That is what they say," the ogre says. "Or she is a demon from the Abyss. One or the other," he adds, nudging the second Khur playfully.

[Jerrard]

"Your talents would be appreciated in my home land." he falters, his experience with women especially pretty ones was limited, this was slowly getting beyond that. "I umm. Trained as a warrior, but magic was my love. I recently passed my test." he beams, not moving away but shaking slightly. (Why do i think he should check his pockets!)

"I am of the white robes, we do not do such things, we aid and further the cause of good."

"Your Test? You must be powerful, indeed, to survive it," Malika comments. "And...you aid the cause of good?" She moves a little closer. "You mean, such as...helping people? Perhaps, damsels in distress? That sort of aid?"

[HorizonsDream]

"Are you three regulars to her shows?" Imani asks.

"Among many," says the first Khur to Imani. "We spend more money than we should on her shows. The wives are always getting on to me about that."

[Breila]

"You know what?" Babushka asks Locky after they have mopped up (I assume Locky helps). "I am quite hungry. Let's find something to eat, shall we?"

[Jenara]

"Me too, AND this Rose sounds fun too, we should go and watch that, and ask Jerrard about helping the Kender." She says as she slips her medallion round her neck, looking for the briefest of moments like a true Cleric.

"Lets go!" She shouts, grabbing her friends hand, "I am rather hungry."

[Jerrard]

"I have aided a number of damsels yes, although that is more the job of a Knight." He smiles, shaking due to her presence, his heart starting to beat faster. "My test was a challenge, myself and those with me almost died."

"Why do you ask of Damsels? You seem to be popular, well known." He pauses, his hands at his side he tries to stop shaking.

Common Area

Babushka and Locky head back into the common room, only to spot Imani already at a table. Her breakfast sits before her, untouched and growing cold, as she chats with two men and an ogre at an adjacent table.

Malika's Room

"I am popular...and well known," Malika admits. "But I am not free." She shakes her head sadly. "The one who owns this place also owns me. More than owns me. But...it is not safe to talk about it now. But maybe...maybe you can help me?" she asks, moving close enough that her perfume almost seems overwhelming. "Not all brave knights need wear armor, yes?"

[Jerrard]

"It appears many in this place are not 'free'" he says with a shake of his head. "Meet me after your performance, we can discuss it then." He fights the urge to touch her, choosing instead to keep his hands at his sides. "And indeed, armor is not a measure of bravery, neither is stature."

He places his hand on her shoulder for a brief moment. "I will aid you if I can." He smiles, "Keep those daggers close, although be careful who you throw them at." he says with a laugh.

Malika's face lights up, and she throws her arms around him in a hug, overcome with excitement and joy. "Oh, thank you, thank you!" she says, pressing into him tightly. She pulls back slowly, as if it pained her to do so at all and smiled brightly. "I will visit you tonight, after the inn has closed. I can tell you everything then. But for now, it's best you leave, before my owner realizes something is up."
