CH 10: The Tharkadan Towers

[Breila]

"Let's not open any doors yet" Goldmoon suggests.

[Jenara]

"Well if we trust the creature, we use those double doors...." Laurana says with a noise, "Listen first, Tas, Magpie?"

"Me check." Magpie smiles, moving to the west doors, as pointed at by Laurana, (Hear noise: 1d100=76 Fail)

[Breila]

"Oh, you're right" Goldmoon concedes to Laurana.

[Kafen]

Tas goes up and listens at the doors! Alas, the GM gets to roll in secret. Carefully, he listens for the sounds on the opposite side.

(( PM the results if Jaded wants, I can live without knowing if Tas fails. It makes for good RP. ))

Tasslehoff listens carefully at the western doors, but hears nothing on the other side at all.

[Nuke]

Riverwind steps to the forefront, ready to open the doors, turning to the group, "Ready?"

[Breila]

Goldmoon loads a stone into her sling and confirms: "Ready"

[Jerrard]

"Yes I am ready." Sturm says quietly, his hand on his sword hilt, ready to fight if needed, he says nothing of the pain in his legs.

[Jenara]

"I am ready too.." Laurana keeps her bow drawn, with Magpie nearby. "Ready little one?"

"Me ready." The dwarf says quietly, holding the stone Tas gave her.

Pushing open the doors, the party finds themselves looking into a massive hall. They are within the great wall itself that bridges the two towers of the fortress. There are massive winches that most likely operate the mighty gates themselves.

At the far, far end is another set of double doors.

[Jenara]

"It said to the west.." Laurana mumbles, turning around she moves to the single door behind her. "Can you hear anything Magpie?"

"Me look. Me used to listening for bosses." (can you roll please?)

Sturm moves into the large room, looking around cautiously.

[JadedDM]

Magpie listens closely to the single door to the north, but hears nothing from within.

Magpie makes a Detect Noise check and hears nothing.

[Jenara]

"It quiet? Me hear nothing." Magpie smiles and looks up at Laurana with a puppy dog look.

"I want to check this door.." She comments to anyone who is nearby.

[Breila]

"Why this door? Goldmoon asks, curious. "The kapak said the west tower, didn't he? You were so keen on going straight there just a moment ago."

[Nuke]

"I agree, we should close these, and go back." Riverwind moves to close the double doors.
