CH. 12: Wyvern's Island

"If there isn't room, why don't we just leave the half-orc and the dwarf here," Thaddeus suggests. "We can continue to the mansion while they stay and rest, then we can pick them up on our way back."

"Stop acting like I'm on my death bed," Brock complains. "I'm just fine. Nobody needs to do anything for my sake."

Baeros hunts around in his pack for food, but he can't find any. But this is just as well, his dogs have already eaten today on the ship anyway.

"Val is our best fighter," Jocelyn points out. "And I would prefer to keep everyone together."

"If you want me to scout with you, I will go. All this sitting around is starting to get to me."

Thaddeus shoots Jocelyn a rather skeptical look, but doesn't answer. He sighs with frustration and leans his back against the stone wall of the mountain, crossing his arms.

"So what's the plan?" asks Brock. "We going or staying?"

"If Val can continue I think we should push on. And Drav, since you have seen the mansion, if you know a good location to camp closer to it, please feel free to share it with us." Baeros turns to Val, "How are you feeling?"

Drav turns to Baeros, "It's been a while, but I may know of a spot near the mansion."

[Breila]

"I'd feel better if we were further away from the trolls." Lookin gup from her map sketch, Ouragana voices her opinion. "And like Jocleyn, I don't like to leave anyone behind."

"I feel like I did after fighting that dragon," Val admits with a grunt.

"Well, if you're going scouting, I'm up for it," Brock volunteers to Drav and Baeros.

"Which means you aren't feeling up to par," Jocelyn said to Val. "You guys can scout out the area around the mansion."

"Sounds like our best option." Dahn says.
"I have a few contingencies for the event that we stumble upon something we can't handle. The question is: who's coming, and who will stay behind to look after the injured?"

"There is no point if some of us will get much closer to the mansion and the rest stay here. Let's all move together and camp closer to the mansion. It is better that we all move together somewhat slower than dividing the group with no clear plan how to regroup in a reasonable time."

Looking at Baeros, "What if we moved closer to the mansion, made camp, and then go scout the mansion while the injured rest?" Looking at everyone, "Sounds like it would fit everyone's views into one solution."

(OOC: We want to scout, we don't want to get too separated, we don't want to leave the injured too far behind, and we don't want to bring them into the fight either. Sounds like a great decision to me. By the way, my roleplay could use some work. )

"Sounds good to me. Let's not waste any more time." Baeros answers and loads his back on his back.

"I think this may help us out later, so I might as well bring it." Drav says to Baeros. "I bet someone has some lighter rope on them."
